About Siemens Technology Department

Siemens Technology is the central in-house research unit at Siemens and as such occupies an outstanding position within Siemens' R&D facilities. It acts as a strategic partner to support Siemens’ business units with R&D services, protects the company’s intellectual property, coordinates the collaboration with top universities worldwide, and supports standardization activities in all business units and regions. Through its R&D activities in Germany, USA, Portugal, China, India, Japan, and Eastern Europe, Siemens Technology helps to secure the company’s technological future and strengthen its ambition.

Your mission will be…

This role is an opportunity for a front-end engineer who is enthusiastic about developing rich and powerful web applications for the purpose of industrial monitoring. You will collaborate closely with cross-functional multinational teams to ensure that software products meet the highest standards of performance and reliability.

You will be responsible for:

• Development of front-end and client-server communication layers

• Contribution to solution architectures and requirements elicitation

• Participation in development processes improvement

The company offers great experience and expertise development: the position holder will be involved in development of applications in such areas as industrial monitoring and analytics, power grids control, building management systems, data-driven design systems and many others. The business demands new ways of data processing, analysis, and visualization, as well as performance optimization and process management based on innovative technologies in web, big data, and streaming.

We are looking for someone with…

• Commercial software development experience with JavaScript/TypeScript (4+ years)

• Significant experience with React and popular state managers (Redux, MobX, Reatom etc.)

• Proficiency with HTML5, CSS3, Sass, Less, CSS, etc.

• Deep knowledge of Git

• Experience with design, prototyping, debugging

• Problem-solving attitude with a will to deliver the best possible user experience

• Communication skills and readiness to work in a team as well as individually

• Good command in spoken English

Would be beneficial:

• Experience with visualization libraries (d3.js or similar)

• Practical knowledge of Angular, Vue.js or other popular library/framework

• Contribution to journals/blogs/professional community resources
