Head of Sales & Partner Solutions Benelux

With a diverse and international team of 200 experts we are continuously working on improving our platforms to help all our users to be even more successful.

We are currently seeking an experienced Head of Sales & Partner Solutions Benelux to join our team. This is a new and exciting leadership role and we are looking for a motivational leader with a deep understanding of the advertising ecosystem and the relevant players. Someone who can play a critical role in identifying new commercial opportunities and help us build new relevant solutions for our users and partners.

Responsibilities/Accountabilities:

  • Develop the sales strategy for 1st and 3rd party Advertising solutions

  • Oversees the major agency, partner and client relationships

  • Drive the launch of new revenue initiatives that capitalize on new market opportunities or technical developments such as payments/escrow/shipping solutions

  • Contributes to shaping the advertising and yield product development roadmap

  • Delivers against ambitious revenue goals in a customer and user focused manner.

  • Accurately forecasts and handles revenue pipelines

  • Develop long-term client / partner relationships and set up a structure to support this

  • Supports Sales Managers, Key Account Managers and Account Management teams where required (e.g. client negotiations, relationship building, and solution provision).

  • Leverage 3rd party relationships to strengthen the advertising value proposition

  • Provides a structured operating environment for the team.

  • Acts as role model for all as a leader supporting our core values and behaviors

  • Communicates expectations, roles and responsibilities effectively.

  • Stimulates co-operation between commercial teams and team members.

  • Achieve high levels of motivation and engagement of team members.

  • Provides support and gives strategic direction to team members (e.g. pricing, solutions, negotiations).

  • Establishes effective relationships with Marketing, Business and Product teams and fosters a collaborative, open approach to share best practice across the wider eCG organization

  • Leading quarterly sales goals alignment and evaluation of efficiencies from previous periods

  • Set and communicates quarterly objectives with team that align with company goals.

  • Development of reporting and analytics to craft insight and recommendations for improvement and positive change within the team

  • Coaches and develops direct reports – identifying development needs and utilizing available resources to develop individuals

  • Industry networking: represent the Marktplaats and 2dehands.be/2ememain.be brands at relevant industry events and be an active participant in relevant external forums

  • Personable individual who is fun to be around

Job Requirements

  • 10+ years’ experience in digital advertising

  • 8+ years management experience of teams

  • Shown expertise in negotiating complex, commercial/advertising negotiations

  • Excellent presentation, written and verbal communication skills

  • Deep analytical capabilities

Preferred Qualifications:

  • A highly driven commercial leader who is passionate about customer focused monetization solutions, innovation and delivering extraordinary results.

  • Ability to effectively navigate and influence formally and informally.

  • Proven ability to build, inspire, and lead high-performing teams.

  • In-depth operational understanding of digital advertising.

  • Strong conceptual and abstract thinking capabilities combined with the ability to present complex concepts in an easily comprehensible way.

  • Network of senior executives within media agencies and advertisers.

  • Deep understanding of digital advertising competitive/market landscape.
