MacStadium Principal Product Manager - Virtualization in Atlanta, Georgia

MacStadium, the leading provider of Mac-centric IaaS, Virtualization, and Remote Desktop solutions, is searching for a highly skilled Senior Product Manager with a robust technical background to lead our macOS-focused virtualization product, Orka.

What we need:

We are looking for a Principal Product Manager – Virtualization that will play a critical role that involves working closely with engineering, marketing, and sales teams to deliver product solutions that align with customer needs and business goals.

This position is a part of our Product team, reporting to the Chief Product Officer, and the preferred location is in Atlanta, GA.

MacStadium's current U.S. office locations are in Atlanta, GA and Las Vegas, NV. While it is ideal to have this position located in close proximity to one of our offices, we are open to filling the role remotely outside of the states of Georgia and Nevada (within the United States) for the right candidate. For remote applicants outside of Eastern time zone, you will be expected to start working at 9AM ET. 

What you will be doing:

  • Insight and Discovery: Engage deeply with our user community (macOS & iOS devs, DevOps and SRE teams) to understand their needs, particularly around their needs for macOS and virtualization in their build and test farms. Utilize these insights to define research directions and understand market trends.

  • Data-Driven Decisions: Develop and analyze usage, funnel, and health metrics to identify opportunities for improvement. Define and track metrics that measure customer satisfaction and business impact.

  • Strategic Roadmapping: Develop a clear, actionable 12+ month product roadmap. Rigorously prioritize the product backlog with a variety of prioritization methods. methodical approach, ensuring small, incremental releases that contribute to significant outcomes.

  • Technical Proficiency: Utilize your knowledge of containers, Kubernetes, and virtualization technologies across Mac, Windows, and Linux environments and alternative products such as VMware to enhance our capabilities and performance.

  • Execution and Delivery: Lead and motivate your team to explore innovative solutions and validate ideas rapidly, focusing on iterative development and quick learning cycles.

  • Market Implementation: Oversee the go-to-market strategy and drive the enablement of both internal teams and external stakeholders to ensure product success.

    What skills and experience you need to have:

  • 7+ years of product management experience, ideally with a technical focus on software or virtualization technologies.

  • Proficient understanding of container technologies, Kubernetes, and the unique challenges of virtualization on Apple macOS, as well as familiarity with VMware and virtualization on Windows and Linux.

  • Demonstrated ability to engage with technical user personas, such as iOS developers, in understanding and solving for their specific use cases in build and test environments.

  • Strong analytical skills complemented by a data-driven mindset for strategic decision-making.

  • Excellent leadership and communication skills, with the ability to drive cross-functional teams toward a common vision.

For California, Colorado, and Illinois applicants, the compensation range for this role is $140,000 to $170,000.
