NORTHWESTERN ENERGY Patrolman Operator in AUGUSTA, Montana
QUALIFICATIONS INCLUDE:
- High School diploma or equivalent
- Ability to demonstrate and maintain a good safety record
- Knowledge and ability to operate skid steer and mini excavator
- Operator qualified in accordance with PHMSA Title 49 CFR, Part 192 and Subpart N
- Required to complete NWE Gas Operator Qualification and HAZMAT programs within six months of hire
- Knowledge of applicable codes and safety
- Commitment to safe working practices and knowledge of safety policies/procedures
- Ability to work overtime including participating in rotation on call schedules, working evenings and weekend shifts-in response to acute service needs
- Ability to walk and ride ATVs; significant travel during line patrol activities
- Ability to lift and manipulate needed equipment weighing up to 75 pounds
- Must live within 30 minutes of the assigned work location in Augusta, Montana
- Ability to pass an employment physical, drug test and background check
- Valid Commercial Drivers License and satisfactory driving record preferred; HazMat endorsement preferred
- Technical college degree with mechanical or electronic focus, or similar military or industrial experience preferred
DUTIES INCLUDE:
- Operate and maintain compressors and supporting equipment
- Inspect, operate and maintain valves
- Mitigate, spray and mow weeds
- Monitor and maintain associated equipment as necessary
- Perform grounds maintenance in compressor yard
- Communicate verbally and understand audible signals in emergency/safety situations
- Respond to emergencies
- Complete required documentation, activity logs, etc.
- Patrol transmission pipelines
- Adapt to technological changes as they are implemented
- Present training on safety, calibration, or other topics as needed
- Organize equipment and perform regular and preventative maintenance
- Adhere to company safety standards and the Code of Business Conduct & Ethics
- Ensure all actions are consistent with NorthWestern Energy's values, mission, and strategic business objectives
Full-time position.
$21.40 - $52.01 per hour, depending on experience.
