We are seeking a highly motivated Software Quality Engineer to join our team in Chantilly, VA or Austin, TX. working to execute on a new large-scale SIGINT Government program, with an emphasis on signal processing and mission control applications, system integration and hardware assembly. In this role you will play a crucial role in ensuring the delivery of high-quality software products by actively participating in the testing, metrics and quality assurance processes. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to identify and address any SW process improvements, contribute to test planning and execution, and advocate for quality throughout the software development lifecycle.

  • Conduct various SW process audits and report out results for adherence and improvements

  • Help teams with collection and understanding of various SW and CI/CD metrics

  • Collaborate with development teams to understand project requirements and design comprehensive test plans.

  • Assist team to identify, document, and track defects through their lifecycle.

  • Utilize testing tools to streamline the testing process and enhance overall product quality.

  • Participate in Scrum ceremonies, providing input on testing efforts and SW QA updates.

  • Create and maintain comprehensive documentation related to SW plans and SW processes.

  • Contribute to the development of process standards and best practices.

  • Monitoring/audit of existing frameworks, systems, and credentials, including project management framework tailoring, and various credentials

  • Audit of project compliance to AS9100, contractual requirements (both SOW/PWS) and selected FAR clauses

  • Assist in successful program/project execution and achievement of excellence

  • Provide leadership and guidance to the quality team which will include quality inspection and quality engineering resources.

This position can sit in either Chantilly, VA or Austin, TX. The successful candidate will also contribute to the development and deployment of processes, templates, training, and tools that contribute significantly to the reduction of project risk and the achievement of customer satisfaction.

You’ll Bring These Qualifications

  • US Citizenship is required along with active TS/SCI security clearance

  • Bachelor's degree in management or engineering related field and 10 years of relevant experience

  • 5+ years as a Quality Engineer

  • Proven success developing processes and leading quality initiatives

  • Proven success in developing quality enhancing processes and procedures

  • Proven success in developing training/learning programs

  • Quality Assurance and Control experience on a hardware/software integrated program

  • Familiar with Agile software development

  • AS9100 Lead Auditor Trained

  • Proven expertise in AS9100 and/or CMMI

  • Top Secret security clearance, SCI elligable

  • Excellent communication skills.

These Qualifications Would Be Nice to Have

  • MS or MBA degree in a technical, business or related field

  • Experience interfacing with DCMA

  • LSS Master Black Belt certified

  • PMP, CSEP or other professional certification

  • Experience with automated testing tools and frameworks.

  • Knowledge of Agile and Scrum methodologies

  • Familiarity with performance testing and security testing concepts

The proposed salary range for this position is:

$68,400-$143,700
