Description

The Senior Data Engineer will play a crucial role in modeling, gathering, and analyzing data from various sources within the logistics domain. This individual will be responsible for building robust data models, procedures, and tables, with a strong emphasis on understanding and meeting performance KPIs defined by senior leadership. Proficiency in Azure data warehouse, transportation logistics, and visualization tools such as Tableau is essential for success in this role.

SQL Data Engineer

Key Responsibilities:

• Collaborate with senior leadership to decode requirements and translate them into actionable data engineering tasks.

• Gather and integrate data from Azure and on-premises sources to build comprehensive data models.

• Develop data pipelines and procedures to ensure efficient data processing and integration.

• Create physical data models and optimize database structures for performance and scalability.

• Utilize visualization tools such as Tableau, Power BI, and SSRS to create insightful dashboards and reports.

• Analyze and interpret data to identify trends, patterns, and insights relevant to supply chain and logistics operations.

• Present findings and recommendations to executives and stakeholders in a clear and concise manner.

• Take a hands-on approach to data engineering tasks, including modeling, visualization, and pipeline development.

  Requirements

Requirements:

• Minimum 5 years of experience in data engineering, with a focus on modeling and visualization.

• Proficiency in Azure data warehouse and experience with on-premises data integration.

• Industry experience with transportation logistics or supply chain

• Expertise in visualization tools such as Tableau (preferred), Power BI, or SSRS.

• Proven track record of working on projects with senior leadership visibility and accountability for performance KPIs.

• Hands-on experience in creating data pipelines, integrating databases, and developing physical data models.

• Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to convey complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
