Rubrik Software Engineer - UI Test in Bangalore, India

ABOUT THE TEAM

The mission of the UI Test team is to ensure best in class UI experience for Rubrik products. The team accomplishes this by testing and automating customer workflows, providing UI automation infrastructure for end to end validation and benchmarking, checking usability and user experience and consistency across the features and products. Key stakeholders are product component teams, product management, release managers and end customers.

The key responsibilities of the team includes UI release regression qualification for Rubrik products like Cloud Data Management, Rubrik Security Cloud products, also qualification of new features for production release, along with automation of UI tests and related infrastructure.

ABOUT THE JOB

  • Ownership of UI testing for features, executing manual & automated regressions, and release qualification for Rubrik products

  • Work with product management and product engineering teams to review PRD and UX design documents

  • Create UI test strategy, test plans, test rail test cases, execution and automation.

  • Setup/Prepare test environments, upgrades, troubleshoot failures and report bugs

  • Maintain test coverage, regression pipelines and drive test gap analysis/actions for assigned areas

  • Be a quality advocate for the assigned component and product. Develop expertise in the assigned areas

ABOUT YOU

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Degree in computer science or in any related field

  • 2-5 years of experience in software testing, UI testing and automation

  • Experience with driving test life cycle (test planning, execution, automation) and release qualification

  • Experience in programming using Python and UI automation using TestIM, Selenium or equivalent.

  • Experience in creating, triaging and maintaining test pipelines with Jenkins or equivalent

  • Knowledge of Linux, shell script, virtualization, GIT & Jenkins, TestRail or equivalent for test management. Javascript knowledge is a plus.

  • Experience with Cloud platforms, storage and data protection domain is a plus.
