If you're a Senior Data Scientist with a passion for economics, statistical modeling, experimentation, and optimization, then this role offers you the opportunity to build complex pricing algorithms for our most popular Printers, PCs, and services in the market.

Key Responsibilities:

Statistical Analysis and Experimentation: Develop and apply statistical methods and experimentation to analyze the impact of pricing and sales decisions on business performance.

Stakeholder Collaboration: Collaborate with internal stakeholders to design and deploy pricing initiatives based on analytical findings.

Communication: Present results and recommendations to relevant stakeholders, including senior leadership, effectively.

Process Enhancement: Streamline existing processes, from feature creation to post-modeling operations.

Stay Updated: Keep up to date with the latest technology trends in the data science world and implement new statistical/ML methodologies as required.

Data Management: Collaborate with data engineers to create automated flows with datasets that are exhaustive for modeling needs.

Monitoring and Quality Assurance: Work with business analysts and data engineers to create monitoring dashboards to measure the effectiveness of model-driven decisions, identify issues, and take suitable actions. Develop QA checks to prevent data-related problems from affecting models and decisions.

Requirements:

Must-haves:

  • Experience: At least 6 years of working experience in data science, ideally in a consumer-focused setting.

  • Education: Master's or PhD degree in Quantitative Marketing, Business, Statistics, Economics, Psychology, or other relevant quantitative discipline.

  • Programming: Proficiency in Python is required.

  • Analytical Skills: Experience in creating and using statistical techniques and machine learning algorithms.

  • Experimentation: Experience in running experiments with aggregated treatment groups (e.g., switchback design) and handling variance reduction/confounders in experimentation and imperfect treatment assignment.

  • Multi-armed Bandits and/or Reinforcement Learning: Working knowledge of multi-armed bandits and/or reinforcement learning techniques applied in relevant contexts.

  • Data Visualization : Proven experience in visualizing and presenting data to stakeholders.

  • Innovative Thinking : Ability to think creatively and invent original solutions to business and modeling challenges.

  • Communication: Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to influence key decision-makers.

Bonus points for:

  • Interest in Pricing, Economics, and Consumer Behavior

  • Understanding of CRM and customer segmentation.

  • Advanced Experimentation Expertise

  • Prior involvement in pricing experimentation methodologies.

  • Knowledge or experience in Bayesian experimentation techniques.

  • with variance reduction techniques in online experimentation (e.g., CUPED), emphasizing their application in pricing strategies.

  • Basic understanding of finance and product economics.

  • Experience in project and/or product management.
