Abbott Established Pharmaceutical Division (EPD) is looking for a
Freight Excellence Manager
for its global Pharma Division Headquarter based in Allschwil- Basel.
Primary Job Function:
Lead Freight & Distribution Cost Optimization for EPD, with deliverables of double digit million dollars savings annually
Lead and represent EPD in corporate price negotiations, cross divisional program on contract negotiations for transportation and warehousing
Responsible for double digit millions freight and Distribution costs of EPD and impacting the overall EPD freight and distribution spend of triple digit millions
Lead EPD improvement initiatives and strategic projects on F&D optimization
Core Job Responsibilities:
Ensure the efficiency of standard operations within logistic for all inbound and outbound related shipments
Represent logistics in cross functional projects
Perform gap analysis and track opportunities for improvements.
Develop and track KPI’s to measure logistic service providers and lead QBR’s
Lead Cool Chain/ others RFQ
Lead F&D Optimization imperative and drive, plan and implement resulted projects.
Lead corporate procurement RFQ projects and propose fact driven business strategy on negotiations
Run the on time and regular logistic execution stakeholder’s evaluation to secure shipping activities and ensure optimal utilization of transport means
Accountable for monitoring transport execution per service level agreements to secure an optimized service within the GMP/GDP rules.
Manage Logistic data
Minimum Education:
- Bachelor’s degree or master’s degree in Economics, Supply Chain Management, Procurement and Digital Technologies or equivalent
Minimum Experience/Training Required:
Experience :
6-9 years minimum in supply chain / procurement experience
Strong negotiation skills, very good written and oral communication skills
Ability to influence senior stakeholders internal and external
Project Management experience and capabilities
Strong knowledge in supply chain management
High flexibility (ability to adapt and work efficiently in different situations)
Able to work cross functional in a high dynamic environment.
High level of personal, professional and ethic integrity
Highly customer oriented (internal / external), with strong sense of responsibility
Strong analytical skill
Strong knowledge in transport and logistics, Incoterms, etc.
Experience with ERP systems, preferably SAP and APO planning tool
Languages :
- Excellent command of English is essential; knowledge of any other language is a plus
