Together, we won't stop! Job Overview The Sr Data Engineer designs and develops data architectures in on-premise, cloud and hybrid platforms. The Sr Data Engineer collaborates with Data Engineers on analysis, architecture, design, and development of data warehouse and business analytics solutions. This role mentors other team members in their efforts to build data engineering skills. The data analytics team plays a pivotal role in empowering our product teams to make informed decisions through data-driven insights. We specialize in building robust analytical solutions that drive the success of key value-added services, including scam protection, enhanced device and activation experiences, premium subscription offerings, and more. This hybrid role requiring a minimum of three days in office. Office is located in Bellevue, WA at our company HQ Job Responsibilities: Develop data engineering solutions, including data pipelines, visualization and analytical tools Design and develop data architectures in on-premise, cloud and hybrid platforms Data wrangling of heterogeneous data, exploration and discovery in pursuit of new business insights Actively contribute to the team's knowledge and drive new capabilities forward Mentor other team members in their efforts to build data engineering skills Assist team management in defining projects, including helping estimate, plan and scope work Prepare and contribute to presentations required by management Education: Bachelor's Degree Computer Engineering, Computer Science, a related subject area or equivalent experience Work Experience: 5 years developing cloud solutions using data series; experience with cloud platforms (Amazon Web Services, Azure, or Google Cloud) Hands-on development using and migrating data to cloud platforms Experience in SQL, NoSQL, and/or relational database design and development Advanced knowledge and experience in building complex data pipelines with Python, Experience in languages such as SQL, DAX Python, Java, Scala, and/or Go Knowledge, Skills and Abilities: Analytical approach to problem-solving; ability to use technology to solve business problems Solid understanding of message queuing, stream processing, and highly scalable 'big data' data stores Hands-on experience with modern cloud-based data platforms, such as Snowflake Ability to spearhead work across multiple projects, good organizational skills Passionate about learning new technologies Licenses and Certifications: Cloud platform certification(s) i.e. AWS Certified Solutions Architect, AWS Certified Cloud Practitioner or Microsoft Certified Solutions Associate (MCSA) (Preferred) * At least 18 years of age * Legally authorized to work in the United States #LI-Corporate Washington Pay Range : $136,600.00 - $184,900.00 The pay range above is the general base pay range for a successful candidate in the state listed. The successful candidate's actual pay will be based on various factors, such as work location, qualifications, and experience, so the actual starting pay may be above or below this range.
