The Senior Manager of Data Engineering Services, Parcel Stations, plays a pivotal role in our Dedicated Delivery organization. Responsible for building and shaping scalable data flows for the Dedicated Delivery team in the context of Walmart End 2 End Delivery environment. This exciting opportunity will involve building out complex data workflows using Spark, GPU, Hive, Kafka and other technologies to process hundreds of billions of transactions.

What You will do:

• As Senior Manager of Data Engineering, you are working in an Engineering team building scalable, highly available, enterprise-grade data flows with eCommerce data and have experience managing multiple engineering managers

• You will manage data flows to enable business engineering teams to identify opportunities for operational improvement, cost reduction, and new product enhancements.

• You will lead and inspire your teams while effectively prioritizing work and maintaining a strong customer focus to create business value while putting processes in-place to ensure successful outcomes.

• You will find ways to deliver incremental value while solving tactical problems strategically.

• You have strong internal Data Engineering mindset that achieves automation and internal improvements while meeting customer requirements.

You'll make an impact by...

• Demonstrating a combination of strong technical, people, and operational skills and a platform mindset and have a track record of using data to drive continual improvement.

• Partnering effectively and building consensus with multiple stakeholders, including Business, Product, Data Governance, Data Strategy, Platforms, UX, and other Engineering teams.

• Proven experience in driving cloud-based data lake and data warehouse strategy.

• Driving engineering excellence by measuring and monitoring the actual performance of system SLAs and OLA's

• Quantifying opportunities and measuring the quality, performance, and business impact of our solutions and use data to inform prioritization and operations

What you will bring:

• Expert-level technical skills and a proven track record of leading teams that build maintain architectures that are highly scalable, performant, and reliable

• A data engineering mindset with an industrial engineering application

• Solid understanding of scalable systems architectures

• High-volume, low latency data processing for real time and batch data.

• Spark/Scala and PySpark

• GPU

• Proven experience in driving service quality, stability, and performance

• Must have excellent written and verbal communication skills and organizational skills.

• Must have strong stakeholder management and ability to inspire and influence your team members

The annual salary range for this position is $110,000.00-$220,000.00

Additional compensation includes annual or quarterly performance bonuses.

Additional compensation for certain positions may also include:

Minimum Qualifications...

Option 1: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science and 5 years' experience in software engineering or related field. Option 2: 7 years' experience in software engineering or related field. Option 3: Master's degree in Computer Science and 3 years' experience in software engineering or related field.

4 years' experience in data engineering, database engineering, business intelligence, or business analytics.

1 year's supervisory experience.

Data engineering, database engineering, business intelligence, or business analytics, ETL tools and working with large data sets in the cloud, Master's degree in Computer Science or related field and 5 years' experience in software engineering or related field, We value candidates with a background in creating inclusive digital experiences, demonstrating knowledge in implementing Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2 AA standards, assistive technologies, and integrating digital accessibility seamlessly. The ideal candidate would have knowledge of accessibility best practices and join us as we continue to create accessible products and services following Walmart's accessibility standards and guidelines for supporting an inclusive culture.
