Commodity Manager, OEM Products & Resale

The primary objective of this position is to manage short-term and long-term commodity actions, contracts, and supplier management strategies for the Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) & Resale commodity category in Europe. This category includes finished goods from multiple strategic suppliers in support of water quality applications for lab and process instruments and chemistries for Hach’s wastewater, drinking water, and industrial water customers.

In this role, a typical day will look like:

• Conduct job responsibilities with the highest level of personal, professional, and ethical conduct.

• Develop and execute a strategic roadmap and manage supplier performance with a focus on quality, delivery and cost objectives.

• Monitor supplier performance, holding suppliers accountable for performance levels.

• Identify, negotiate with, and develop strategic supplier base to ensure continuous improvement in quality, delivery, inventory, cost, support, and technological capability.

• Build internal strategic partnerships across the company with key cross functional teams, including Operations, Purchasing, Quality, Engineering, Commercial Operations, and Veralto Corporate Procurement.

• Coordinate strategy and business needs with the corporate level commodity team as well as with business level associates to ensure that Hach is globally leveraged with target suppliers.

• Maintain current knowledge regarding global market conditions affecting assigned commodity category, supply chain, develop and defend strategy with data, and align commodity strategies to ensure meeting business objectives.

The essential requirements of the job include:

• Bachelor's degree in industrial engineering, mechanical engineering, or electrical engineering

• 5 -7 years of experience in similar positions.

• Ability to build strong working relationships at all levels of the organization, including remote locations.

• Fluent in written and spoken English and German.

• Advanced knowledge/experience in Microsoft Office and enterprise resource planning (ERP) systems.

• Detailed knowledge and experience in OEM & Resale category and its interfaces.

• Experience in project management and supplier audits.
