From strategy, to concept, and down to execution in markets, you act as a business owner for LEGO Education’s flagship product line of Computer Science and STEAM experiences. Conducting the team using agile and iterative development methodologies, you empower innovation through your leadership and decision-making skills – delivering meaningful learning outcomes and building a sustainable business.

Core Responsibilities

  • Top and bottom-line responsibility for Computer Science and Artificial Intelligence family of educational products

  • Oversees all product development phases (e.g., strategy, concept, prototyping, development, manufacturing, launch, iteration, and end-of-life)

  • Primary contact point to all partners (e.g., markets, functional leaders)

  • Evaluates and optimizes products through oversight of the backlog and an iterative process

  • Informal leadership of a large cross functional team across domains (e.g., design, engineering, quality assurance, product marketing, learning content, etc.)

The Product Owner for Computer Science (CS) is a business-critical role within LEGO Education – co-developing and delivering product strategy in the short-, mid- and long-term. The Product Owner for CS reports into the Head of Product Experience for LEGO Education. Product Experience is organized as a “matrix organization” in which the Product Owner has full responsibility for the business, prioritization, day-to-day oversight, and ensuring that business goals are met. Functional leaders have full responsibility for capabilities and the definition of processes within their functional area.

Do you have what it takes?

The ideal candidate brings an educational background within engineering, design, business, marketing or equivalent combined with extensive work experience in design, engineering, education, or product management, working with products in the Computer Science, STE(A)M, and/or Robotics educational space. In addition, you bring a proven track record of being able to develop strategy with diverse partners and drive execution with diverse teams. As a person, you show the ability to understand, synthesize, and take decisive action from a broad diversity of inputs including markets, design, learning & outcomes, engineering, manufacturing, user insights, and beyond. Finally, you have a passion and interest in lifelong learning and education.
