Job Description

An employer in the northern suburbs of Chicago is seeking a Medical Dosimetrist for a contract to possible hire opportunity. This person will be working at a large hospital part of a much larger health system providing patient care throughout the Chicagoland area. This person will report up through Radiation Oncology and be tasked with implementing department policies and procedures to uphold top-tier patient care. They also will be responsible for creating high quality computerized radiation treatment plans, prioritizing patient safety and treatment efficacy as well as actively engaging in initiatives for improved patient outcomes. Additional duties include contributing to clinical projects to implement innovative techniques. The healthy system currently has two openings at different hospitals. One of the openings requires experience with Varian, and the other openings requires experience with Elekta (preferably Elekta Monaco but open to take candidates willing to learn, so long as they have Mosaiq experience as a baseline). Both are full time positions, onsite positions and will require the candidates to work 7:30am-4pm, or 8am-4:30pm.

Skills and Requirements

Board Certified Medical Dosimetrist

Experience with Varian, Elekta Monaco, or Elekta Mosaiq

2+ years of experience as CMD, or previous experience as a Radiation Therapist (if new grad)

Able to work onsite in the Chicagoland area ARRT in Radiation Oncology

Experience with both Elekta Monaco and Varian null
