These responsibilities include some of the following: Data Engineering & Architecture: Lead the development and evolution of big-data ecosystem and data lake architectures to enable data processing, storage, and retrieval, including the integration of structured data sources from enterprise transactional systems and trusted third parties and unstructured data sources, including IIoT data from manufacturing sites. Day to day responsibilities will specifically focus on the following - Design and implement robust event-driven streaming architectures utilizing Kafka, Azure Events Hubs, and Azure IoT Edge. Lead hands-on development and integration of streaming solutions using Databricks for real-time analytics and data processing. Apply expertise in AI/ML (Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning) to enhance event-driven applications and drive intelligent decision-making. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to architect scalable and efficient solutions for streaming data processing. Develop and execute comprehensive architectural strategies for Azure Edge Computing, ensuring seamless connectivity between on-premises factory systems and cloud environments. Collaboration: Engage with global teams from various disciplines to ensure architectural designs meet company objectives and encourage teamwork. Technical Leadership: Provide technical leadership and mentorship to junior architects and team members. Drive innovation and ensure the adoption of industry best practices.

Why you? Basic Qualifications: We are looking for professionals with these required skills to achieve our goals: BS or MS in Engineering or Sciences 10+ years in data and analytics applications 4+ years of expertise in Kafka, Azure IoT, and Databricks. 2+ years of experience in AI/ML in streaming architectures. Experience in high-performance data pipelines and Azure (or AWS or GCP) cloud. 6+ years of experience in programming languages like Python, Java, or Scala.

Preferred Qualifications: If you have the following characteristics, it would be a plus: Proficient in knowledge graph databases, experience in platforms like Anzo, Stardog Familiar with Azure's data services and compliance standards Leadership in adopting best practices for event-driven streaming. Strong experience in high-performance data pipelines and Azure (or AWS or GCP) cloud. Leadership in adopting best practices for event-driven streaming. Knowledge of programming languages like Python, Java, or Scala. Familiar with Azure's data services and compliance standards. Professional/Architect level certifications from leading Cloud Service Provider is a plus. Expertise with Azure (or AWS or GCP) Industrial IoT for manufacturing scenarios. Experience on regulated systems including GxP, SoX, HIPAA & GDPR Azure (or AWS or GCP) administration and DevOps for CI/CD. Project management experience, especially with Agile.
