Job Summary

Based in our East Cowes facility, and reporting into the Systems Compliance Manager, the QA Engineer - Compliance will act as business partner to the site/entity manufacturing process managers and leadership in assuring and improving the manufacturing processes and product/service quality performance. They will also provide Internal (1st Party) audit capability for the assessment of the manufacturing processes and products/services, ensuring process compliance, robustness and effectiveness in relation to the customer requirements, quality needs and expectations. They will also plan, host and support external (regulatory and other 3rd parties) audits, and r eport & ensure conclusion on identified non-compliances, as well as highlighting improvement & best practice sharing opportunities and help drive a value added, continual improvement culture through the organization. Additionally they will also s upport the continued compliance to AS9100, Part 145, 21G & ISO 17025 regulations, including implementation, maintenance and improvement of the Safety Management Systems.

Job Responsibilities

  • Ensuring the delivery of the process/product audit objectives, ensuring adequate preparation for the conduct of the audit criteria against the local audit plan.

  • Gathering of appropriate audit evidence to identify best practice, Areas of concern, and recommendations for improvement.

  • For the evaluation of the audit evidence, non-conformities recommendations / opportunities for improvement and for the communication of subsequent recommendations, including risk identification to the BMS/QMS Manager and Aviation Safety Manager.

  • Preparation and distribution of the audit report and conducting the audit follow up activities to ensure all actions are addressed within the agreed timescale.

  • Maintain and administer the site approvals database.

  • Administration and maintenance of the site stamp register, including eye test records.

  • Preparation for issue and storing of the sites quality stamps

  • Maintain and administer the TipQA QMS software.

  • Planning and completing TipQA QMS software updates.

Job Qualifications

Suitable applicants will be able to demonstrate:

  • Relevant manufacturing/engineering degree (preferable) OR HND, BTec. Professional Level 5 Award, or equivalent NVQ Level 5 qualifications, OR r elevant manufacturing/ engineering apprenticeship.

  • Solid experience in a similar role gained within with a similar sized organisation.

  • Recognised and current lead auditor training qualification.
