FCSD is a true one-stop shop, offering comprehensive Diagnostics, Repair & Service Capabilities for a full portfolio of Electrified, Hybrid and Internal combustion vehicles globally.

FCSD Tech is looking for Software Engineers that embrace Agile-eXtreme/Pair Programming principles to deliver innovative software products for Ford Motor Company and our Dealers and Customers.

Responsibilities:

What you’ll be able to do:

  • Engineer production-quality code to deploy these solutions in a serverless, microservices architecture

  • Enhance testing platforms, improve test automation, foster software craftsmanship

  • Surprise and delight customers and partner software engineers

  • Monitor and evaluate the performance of our solutions

  • Collaborate with multi-skilled teams working on commercial/fleet software solutions

  • Engage in Test-first Development, Test Driven Development

  • Cloud development using cutting-edge technologies and integrations with Ford enterprise systems

Qualifications:

Experience Required:

  • Requires a bachelor’s or foreign equivalent degree in computer science, information technology or a technology related field

  • 4+ years of IT experience

  • 2+ years in the following:

  • GCP or Cloud Services (Cloud Run, Cloud DB, Secret Mgr, GCS, Big Query, Teraform, etc.)

  • Deploying software using continuous integration/continuous delivery tools using Tekton

  • Full stack Java development (e.g. React or Angular, SpringBoot, SpringFW, TDD with JUnit, Micro Services, Gateway, and Security Framework, Liberty)

  • Experience with Spring/Spring Boot and RESTFUL Web services development

  • Experience with front end development (JavaScript, CSS, HTML, and front-end languages.

  • Knowledge of REACT and/or Angular front end development tools

  • React.js, Webpack, Enzyme, Redux, and Flux

  • PrimeNG or Bootstrap, unit test with Jasmine and Karma, Angular CLI

  • Experience with user interface design.

  • Knowledge of performance testing frameworks including Mocha and Jest.

  • Experience with SQL databases in query development and performance tuning (Cloud DB, Postgresql Cloud, MS SQL Server Cloud, etc.)

  • GIT Hub

  • Experience with Site Reliability Engineering (SRE), Cloud Monitoring, Splunk, Dynatrace or other monitoring tool to trouble shooting

Experience Strongly Preferred:

  • Prior IT experience within Ford Motor/OEM automotive company

  • Prior experience withing Ford/OEM Customer Service - Extended Service Business IT systems landscape

  • Master’s Degree in Computer Science or related field

  • Deep understanding of Object-Oriented Design Principles

  • Familiar with eXtreme Programming (XP) practices including Pair/Mob programming and Test-first/Test Driven Development (TDD)

  • Experience with developing and deploying to cloud platforms, such as Google Cloud Platform, Pivotal Cloud Foundry, Amazon Web Services, and Microsoft Azure

  • Experience with machine learning, mathematical modelling and data analysis is a plus

  • Knowledge of SQL and NoSQL databases

  • Experience with CA Agile Central (Rally), backlogs, iterations, user stories, or similar Agile Tools

  • Experience with APIGEE, FOSSA, Checkmarx, or similar API management and security tools

  • Highly effective in working with other technical specialists, Product Managers, UI/UX Designers and business partners

  • Passion for learning and willingness to work in a pair programming environment

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

  • Strong oral and written communication skills

  • Ability to multi-task and manage changing priorities

  • Strong teamwork and interpersonal skills

  • Ability to work independently and take initiative when solving unexpected problems

  • Understanding of fundamental data modelling

  • Experience in development of microservices
