Dow has a great people leadership opportunity for anOperations Leaderlocated inDilovasi, Türkiyesupporting Gebze Site Operations Leader.

As the Operations Leader you will be responsible for Dow Plastic additives Plant staff and share responsibility and accountability for Plant, Site, and Business goals to safely and reliably operate the assets and maximize team performance. As a leader, you will foster a work environment with a high level of integrity and strong customer and safety focus that embraces inclusion and diversity, innovation and sustainability, continuous improvement and empowerment. You will act as the primary back-up to the Production Leader.

Responsibilities:

  • Partners with the Production leader to drive a strong personal safety, process safety, and environmental improvement plan to achieve EH&S goals and ensure compliance with regulatory and permit requirements.

  • Supports Production Leader to provide motivation, explanation, context, and communication purpose of messages to the empowered organization.

  • Develops operation employees and ensures career success via goal-setting, performance management, promotion processes, and employee development plan.

  • Knows and advocates Life Critical Standards within the facility. Demonstrates priority and commitment through personal behavior and coaching in the field. Provides the needed recognition and discipline to address deviations with urgency, and ensure appropriate follow up and investigation.

  • Keeps active field presence and assess work activities to maintain appropriate staffing.

  • Ensures Operators are on-boarded and trained via a comprehensive plant training program to maximize knowledge and success. Accountable for improving Operator expertise.

  • Works to improve the total cost of production. Maintains the leadership role for the Budget Team and cost tracking.

  • Supports and drives continuous improvement and optimizes relationship between quality, productivity, and profitability. Understands cGMP for Food/Pharma regulated products.

Qualifications:

  • A minimum of a bachelor's degree in engineering.

  • A minimum of 7 to 10 years of relevant industry experience is required (i.e., Engineering, Manufacturing).

  • Very good command of English language
