Cambridge International Systems, Inc. has a full-time Enterprise Data Solution Architect opportunity available based in Doral, FL. Qualified candidates for this job must possess a current DoD Secret security clearance with the ability to obtain a TS/SCI.
SOUTHCOM Cyber Information Technology Enterprise Services (SCITES) is working to deliver and operationalize information technology (IT) services for all US SOUTHCOM combatant command constructed networks. These constructed networks span the US SOUTHCOM Area of Responsibility (AOR). Work performed under this Task Order directly provides US SOUTHCOM a defensible, secure, modern, and efficient IT infrastructure across all combatant command constructed networks.
This position supports SOUTHCOM's transformative move to a Zero Trust Architecture in alignment with the DoD Zero Trust Strategy and Executive Order (EO) 14028.
ROLE RESPONSIBILTIES
The Data & Analytics Solution Architect will provide guidance & support in the translation of Desired Functional/Technical/Operational Outcomes into actionable/deliverable requirements
Define/Maintain Data Interoperability Guidelines/Models across the Enterprise (DAO SOUTHCOM)
Understand, Communicate & Translate Storage, Mining, Analytics, &/or Visualization Needs/Requirements
Develop Data “Authoritative Sources” Approach & Accuracy
Suggest, Monitor & Apply Data, Analytics & Decision Support ‘Best Practice’ to DOA SOUTHCOM, USANEC, J6-5 (Office of the CIO)
Big Data Tools Guru, that is able to interpret DoD Data Strategy, Zero Trust Reference Architecture, etc. and apply to the DAO SOUTHCOM environment
Develop & Maintain Data & Analytics Models / Maps / Deliverables
Collaborate w/ All Solution Architects, the Enterprise Architect, Functional & Technical SME’s (Military, Govt. & Contractors) & the PIE (Projects, Integration & Engineering) Teams
As an IT Infrastructure architect, you will work as part of a team of highly experienced engineers under the direction of the Enterprise Architect to design and define system architecture for new or existing computer systems. As application architect you will be responsible for: • IT infrastructure, servers, storage, desktops • Data protection infrastructure, backups, data replication
Identifies solutions based on business and technical criteria, analyzes alternatives based on trade space, and implements designs
Experienced with cloud technology and able to make recommend where and how new systems be deployed in a hybrid cloud environment.
Research current and emerging technologies and process methodologies and proposes changes and tailoring where needed
Assesses the system and business process architectures currently in place and works with staff to recommend improvements
Ensures technical architecture teams deliver efficient and effective system solutions to support business goals and objectives
Develops, enhances, and maintains established service design procedure and process by applying process frameworks and methodologies
Prepares and presents test plan, technical presentations, and analyst briefings
Identifies customer requirements, analyzes alternatives, and conducts product recommendations related to software, platform, and network configurations
Provides updates to stakeholders on project cost, schedule, and quality in comparison to stakeholder objectives
May coach and provide guidance to less-experienced technical professionals
May serve as a team or task lead
Required QUALIFICATIONS
Must possess an active DoD Secret security clearance with the ability to obtain a TS/SCI.
Must be proficient in using different technologies such as computers and other tools and systems pertinent to the position.
Recognized as a Subject Matter Expert in solutions architecture
TRAVEL REQUIREMENTS
In some occasions, overnight travel may be required.
PHYSICAL ENVIRONMENT AND WORKING CONDITIONS
Cambridge International Systems complies with Temporary Duty Station (TDY)/Outside Continental United States (OCONUS) vaccination requirements. If this position requires OCONUS travel (listed above), Vaccine Recommendations by AOR | Health.mil lists applicable current vaccination requirements by location.
Office setting:
Must be able to work in an office environment, sitting at a desk, looking at a computer for most of the workday.
Work is physically comfortable; the employee has discretion about sitting, walking, standing, etc.
May be required to travel short distances to offices/conference rooms and buildings on site.
