About the role:

To ensure in time deliveries for internal and external customers. To promote and ensure Logistics culture on the shop floor as well as within the whole supply chain.

What you can look forward to:

  • Perform tasks of Material Planning, Production Planning and/or Inside Sales

  • Create, maintain and improve information flow and ensure deliveries in the right time, to the right place, in the right quantity and quality and in the right condition.

  • Create demands and/or production schedules for internal or external suppliers out of internal or external customer demands. Aim towards a stable production schedule.

  • Perform assigned product launch activities in corporation with internal/external suppliers or customers.

  • Develop, monitor, analyze, and/or improve KPIs for assigned logistics processes.

  • Utilize information from internal/external customers, compare with parts/goods available and define production schedules and/or demands, while considering capacities available.

  • Communicate with suppliers/ customers daily to ensure parts availability while keeping inventory within pre-defined levels.

  • Serve as a liaison between customers, suppliers, and ZF.

  • Be the main contact for any issue regarding parts and customers (e.g. inventory inaccuracies, data flow errors, packaging shortages, etc.).

  • If bottlenecks occur, define, communicate, agree on and/or report counter measurements. Provide information about the current status within the logistics organization and/or within ZF.

  • Use SAP, EDI and other tools to keep track of stock, to steer physical material flow and to communicate demands internally and externally.

  • Set required parameters and update master data in SAP and other tools to ensure an uninterrupted information flow.

  • Continuously improve delivery reliability to the customer (e.g. stabilizing procedures and processes).

  • Coordinate changes of parts numbers in a timely manner and together with other departments to minimize/eliminate excessive and obsolete inventory.

  • Effectively respond and communicate in a timely manner with all internal and external customers/ suppliers

Essential Skills and Experience:

  • Bachelor’s Degree

  • 0-3+ years’ experience in materials planning and/or customer planning in manufacturing environment.

  • Experience with an ERP system.

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office software (Excel, PowerPoint, Word).

  • Good written and oral communication (e.g. presentations).

  • Broad knowledge of commonly used concepts, practices, and procedures within supply chain planning.

  • Experience with demand forecasting and/or planning methods.

  • Demonstrate ability to multi-task, plan and problem solve.
