What you will do

The job of the Digital Account Manager is to support the growth of Volvo Truck’s and Mack Truck’s digital parts sales platforms, Market Area Potential Platform and other digital assets to our dealer network and customers in the US and Canada. Build partnerships between OEM’s field team, dealership personnel and fleets to increase adoption of Aftermarket Parts Operation’s digital assets. Act as the primary business lead for key initiatives, and support overall business readiness activities. The goal is to optimize the dealer’s fixed operations digital performance, deliver strategic digital consulting, planning, and digital implementation.

The Heavy Truck Aftermarket eCommerce environment is constantly evolving, so the Digital Account Manager will educate retailers and the field network on digital opportunities, leverage existing tools to help dealer conquest new business and respond to support requests as needed. The role requires regular dealer and fleet visits. The Manager will be an approachable and coveted partner, committed to doing what it takes to assist the retailer in maximizing their digital performance.

Key Responsibilities/Accountabilities

• Work with key accounts to understand their current/future parts procurement needs and provide input into the of functionality for future enhancements

• Become the “Go-To” digital resource thru consistent dealer visits with field staff to implement action plans, consistently communicating all program details and actions required.

• Serve as the digital expert for OEM’s Field teams and Dealers, partnering with them to achieve program and aligned digital goals.

• Provide a digital education to improve the digital acumen of the retail and field teams

• Translating business strategy into executable plans

• Develop market-specific plans to drive program engagement.

• Ability to manage multiple tactical and strategic initiatives

• Establish digital “best practices” at the dealership level.

• Train personnel on the use of all necessary reporting tools, utilizing adult learning methodologies.

• Analyze the current digital landscape and consult with senior Regional/Area and dealership personnel regarding strategy, tactics, roles and responsibilities.

• Identify areas of digital marketing opportunity to enhance the dealer’s digital dealership sales experience.

• Provide field support for regional meetings, presentations, seminars, etc.

• Stay informed of industry trends & technologies.

• Perform initiatives as required which supports dealers, fleets and internal customers

• Point person for fleet and dealer questions about E2E digital sales transactions

Essential Educational and/or Training Qualifications and Certificates

• Bachelor’s degree in marketing, communications or related discipline.

Preferred Experience and Knowledge

• Knowledge of Heavy Truck/Automotive Dealership/Key Account Management or equivalent related industry experience

• Functional knowledge of Parts Department operation including DMS inventory systems

• Understanding of fleet parts purchasing processes

• Digital Marketing

• Experience leveraging existing programs/platforms to produce a digital parts sales solution for dealer network

• Experience in a B2B and B2C eCommerce environment

Other Requirements

• Up to 75% travel required.
