Eaton Corporation Product Strategy Manager in Hadapsar, India

What you’ll do:

Responsible for the general business planning & development of global product strategy, leading the technical sales & marketing activities, and identification of opportunities with current and new customers for the connection systems product line.

"1) Identifies customer needs for connections systems high and low voltage applications. To support profitable growth, through frequent visits with customers to develop and strengthen relationships with key contacts / decision makers. Collects and communicates Voice of Customer (VOC) inputs used to generate new product innovations to solve customer needs.

2) Build Pipeline of Opportunities for the business. Develops a robust product strategy that includes an explicit understanding of current / future targets for market share, competitive positioning, product function, pricing and standard profits.

3) Supports the strategic planning process and develops the appropriate sales forecast for the annual business plans (Profit Plan, Strategic Plan), including a “strawman forecast” for future programs.

4) Develops and deploys comprehensive pricing strategies which are market driven, based on value provided and the competitive landscape. The pricing strategies, which will include an analytical approach, must support Eaton’s financial performance targets.

5) Develops and deploys a targeted business pursuit plan.

6) Relentlessly monitors market dynamics, including customer and competitor developments, and recommends strategies to senior management as appropriate.

7) Takes a lead role in building consensus of product and technology roadmaps, which effectively translate customer needs into a portfolio of products. Shared responsibility of commercializing new products through focused R&D investments.

8) Manages prioritization of new programs, resolving conflicts between multiple customer programs.

9) Supports the Regional quotation and SPC process when appropriate, by supporting regional Sales and partnering with Finance.

10) Interfaces daily with sales, engineering, operations, and pricing with frequent interactions with customers and suppliers.

11) Assures internal and external customer satisfaction. Provides thorough business case analysis and ensures accuracy of reporting."

Qualifications:

Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited institution is required

08-10+ years of multiple experience in Sales, Engineering, Program Management or Operations

Skills:

Market & customer awareness, Financial acumen (familiar with P&L, cost estimating, pricing), Strong technical knowledge – engineering design, manufacturing, product application and quality, Demonstrated competency through experiences in business planning, strategic planning, and financial analysis

Excellent interpersonal & communication skill, strong ability to hold people accountable to their commitments, personal integrity
