UX/DESIGN LEAD
REPORTS TO: Head of Product

WORK SCHEDULE: M-F, may need to flex times due to business needs
LOCATION: Hybrid (3 days in/2 days remote) in Hartford, CT

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS, DUTIES, AND PERFORMANCE RESPONSIBILITIES:
Lead a user-centered design function at Covr with an emphasis on the company's digital insurance platform.
Work collaboratively across company functions to define user experience through design artifacts that include customer journey maps, participatory design prototypes and wireframes.
Establish a clear view of competition, best practices and trends to ensure Covr is consistently viewed as a leader.
Consult with Covr's clients and strategic partners to align on user needs and issues.
Collaborate closely with technology and engineering to guide the road map for Covr's digital platform.
JOB SPECIFICATION/QUALIFICATIONS:
Education and Experience:
5+ years of experience in experience design and graphic /visual development required
BFA or BA in related field, graduate design degree preferred
Knowledge and Skills:
Ability to synthesize complex, interdependent, and sometimes competing needs
Effective communication of design solutions across roles and levels
Awareness and practical understanding of current technologies and their application and relevance to digital experiences
Proven understanding of responsive web and mobile application design and wireframe development
Solid communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to influence others and provide thought leadership on design
Flexibility - ability to change direction based on team and stakeholder input

Salary range $90,000 to $105,000 annual base with a 10% incentive bonus
