Our aim is to standardize operations globally by delivering tools, policy, processes and procedures to our internal teams. The Availability team is seeking a Full stack software engineer to design, develop, and implement software solutions for our global RCA process. Our mission is to provide critical data to operators and engineers that enables them to make informed decisions for reliability of data center facilities. Our team of software engineers builds web-based tools and and fully integrated end-to-end solution for identifying and fixing systemic and endemic issues in our infrastructure fleet.

Key job responsibilities

As a Full Stack software engineer, you will:

• Develop fully integrated end-to-end solution for identifying and fixing systemic infrastructure issues across its global data center fleet.

• Participate in design reviews for complex systems, simulations, algorithms, and software development

• Optimize existing designs and identify solutions to enhance network coverage and channel capacity

• Define and/or refine system requirements, participate in the development and delivery of features such as system health monitoring, diagnostics, repair, and other self-healing automation.

• Implement key metrics, set system performance KPIs, design debug tools and integrate with backend solutions to continuously monitor and improve on our network solutions

• Deploy RDBMS software in performance-critical, high available environments and provide support for system upgrades, new system releases, perform database monitoring using AWS Tools.

Basic Qualifications

  • 3+ years of non-internship professional software development experience

  • 2+ years of non-internship design or architecture (design patterns, reliability and scaling) of new and existing systems experience

  • Experience programming with at least one software programming language

  • Experience contributing to the architecture and design (architecture, design patterns, reliability and scaling) of new and current systems

Preferred Qualifications

  • 3+ years of full software development life cycle, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, and operations experience

  • Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $115,000/year in our lowest geographic market up to $223,600/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company. Dependent on the position offered, equity, sign-on payments, and other forms of compensation may be provided as part of a total compensation package, in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits.
