Infinity Systems Engineering Equipment Specialist in Hill Air Force Base, Utah

Position Overview

We are seeking mid-level Engineering Technicians to support Intercontinental Ballistic Missile (ICBM) programs at Hill AFB (Layton, Utah).

Primary Responsibilities

  • Provides general logistics support in acquisition and sustainment

  • Reviews, develops, validates, analyzes and updates publications (Operation Manuals, Maintenance Manuals, Modification Instructions, Technical Instructions, SL-3’s and Special Instructions)

  • Provides coordination and management of various systems and processes as required

  • Assists in initial provisioning and fielding of new equipment to include new equipment asset management and inventory control

  • Provides assistance in the management of the program for spares, repair parts, and supplies to meet requirements

  • Ensures quality assurance is managed by utilizing the Product Quality Deficiency Reports (PQDRs) and providing immediate resolutions

    Minimum Qualifications

  • Relevant core and advanced certifications as established/required per local, national and international industry standards or as necessitated by performance expectations associated with level of appointment

  • Design, development, and sustainment of propulsion systems for rocket guided weapon systems including:

  • Application of thermodynamics, aerodynamics, gas dynamics, structures, and pressure vessels

  • Materials & propellant chemistry, ranging from subsonic to hypersonic technologies

  • Exhaust systems

  • Engine mounting systems

  • Fuel types

  • Fuel delivery systems

  • Guidance systems

  • Electric motor and hydraulic driven mechanical component

  • Familiarity with manufacturing and test methods required for development, production, and sustainment of propulsion systems

  • Test methods for production & aging surveillance of associated propulsion systems

  • Ordinance/explosive chemistry, devices/components including stage safing /arming, ignition of rocket motors, initiation of stage separation sequences, release of warhead vehicles

  • Ballistic missile electrical systems including batteries used in flight and ground power systems

  • Chemistries such as Silver Zinc, Thermal, Lead Acid, and Lithium

  • Creation, modification, and management of drawings and technical orders

  • Procurement program operations and general organizational administration (policies & procedures), project and/or Program Management tasks, acquisition programs and organizational activities

  • Have comprehensive WS knowledge of:

  • WS design parameters

  • WS requirements

  • WS interface data

  • Use of test equipment certified for the above components

  • Diagnostic data analysis capabilities to assess and solve system level problems that are not necessarily confined to one subsystem

  • Be qualified to support system-level Engineering requests for assistance from the field, depots, ICBM test facilities, or MMIII SPO to conduct special studies and/or analysis

    Education/Experience  

  • Bachelor’s degree in any engineering discipline and 4 years' experience and/or equivalent combination of education, experience, and training is required to fulfill this position.
