We are looking for a dedicated person to join our global Order Engineering team in the General Industrial (GI) area.
Project Engineer (M/F/T)
As a member of the Order Engineering (OE) Team (BU engineering), which takes care of liquid pumps for general industry, you will initially be primarily responsible for the further stabilization, support, and standardization of order engineering for side channel pumps at the Itzehoe location. In principle, the global order engineering teams will provide each other with increased support in the long term, including for other products in the GI engineering team. In this role, you report to the Supervisor global Order Engineering LRVP/LRC.
Your tasks:
Handle customer inquiries within general or specific guidelines.
Mechanical design of the pumps and units including hydraulic designs and calculation
Support of quotation activities when selecting pumps outside of the configuration tool as well as with process technology issues
Application of construction technology principles, such as functional and production-oriented design, taking manufacturing processes into account
Monitoring the creation of ZOB1 orders, parts lists, dimensional and sectional drawings by GTEC-Bangalore (e.g. customer documentation)
Creation of design drafts based on customer requirements for small systems/configurations for implementation by GTEC-Bangalore, including the components taking into account the manufacturing processes
Effective interface management to the other functions in operational operations, e.g. project management, purchasing, sales, quality and production as well as aftermarket and service and external service providers
Planning and carrying out pump performance tests, possibly in the presence of the customer or a buyer
Contribute to the improvement of (contract) processes in engineering both globally and at the location
Support of product maintenance and standardization of pumps and other liquid pumps (long-term)
Ensuring compliance with international guidelines and standards
Guidance of the global co-design team (GTEC) in the creation of 3D modeling, 2D drawings, bill of material creation and material creation in SAP
Your profile:
Completed university degree in mechanical engineering or comparable field
At least 2 years of professional experience, preferably in the pump industry
Knowledge of the hydraulic design of liquid pumps is an asset
Experienced use of common MS Office applications and SAP
Fluent German and English - written and oral
Open, committed mindset and desire for continuous improvement
Collaborative and independent way of working
Proactive communication skills and resilience in operational business
