Robert Half Project Manager/Sr. Consultant in Jacksonville, Florida

Description We are offering an exciting opportunity for a Project Manager/Sr. Consultant in the Professional Services industry, located in Jacksonville, Florida. This role primarily involves managing projects, building relationships with clients, and ensuring the smooth execution of contracts. You will be working with a team and using your skills in project management, budget processes, and low voltage cabling.

Responsibilities:

• Building and maintaining strong relationships with clients, architects, and engineers to ensure repeat business

• Ensuring a positive representation of the company to clients, vendors, subcontractors, and team members

• Setting up and maintaining project cost accounting systems

• Developing and maintaining project schedules

• Supporting the permitting, testing, and inspection requirements of the project

• Familiarizing yourself with owner contract requirements and delivery methods

• Negotiating subcontractor agreements and equipment/material purchase orders

• Developing a Schedule of Values and generating monthly payment applications

• Reviewing and approving subcontractor pay applications and vendor invoices

• Tracking and evaluating subcontractor change management

• Facilitating subcontractor and owner coordination/progress meetings and documenting meeting minutes

• Managing the execution of contracts, bonds, insurance certificates, contract compliance, and warranties

• Monitoring the submittal, drawing, and purchase order processes to ensure accurate and timely delivery of equipment and materials

• Monitoring budgets, schedules, cost reports, and job progress and reviewing these with the project team on a weekly basis

• Visiting job sites regularly to review job progress, production planning boards, quality of work, and safety on the job

• Managing change orders, extra work orders, disputed claims with the owner and owner’s representatives to a successful conclusion

• Resolving major disputes with vendors and subcontractors

• Managing the activation and commissioning of the facility, where applicable

• Providing owner training to the end user and turning over contract close-out deliverables. Requirements • Minimum of 5 years of experience in a Project Management or Sr. Consultant role within the Professional Services industry.

• Proficient in Budget Processes, capable of managing and allocating resources effectively.

• Experience in managing Deliverables, ensuring projects are completed within the designated timeline and meet quality standards.

• Demonstrated knowledge in IT project management, with the ability to oversee technical aspects of projects.

• Familiarity with Low Voltage Cabling, ideally with hands-on experience.

• Excellent communication and leadership skills, with the ability to guide teams and liaise with clients effectively.

• Proven ability to problem-solve and make strategic decisions under pressure.

• Degree in Business, Management, Information Technology, or a related field is preferred.

• Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.

• Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
