Job Summary

Support manufacturing by developing and maintaining software used in any of the manufacturing processes.  Help end-users and resellers with advanced developer support.  Provide support solutions to customers and help Marketing answer technical questions from potential customers and/or resellers.

 

Job Duties and Responsibilities

  1. Helps product software developers
  2. Helps Customer Service and Marketing provide solutions for customers by answering the most technical customer questions
  3. Provides solutions for problems in product operating systems, operating systems omissions, and application problems found by customers or by people from other departments
  4. Develops software that manufacturing department uses for product testing
  5. Aids in design and development of software applications for products
  6. Provides support and input as a member of the Manufacturing Support Group
  7. Determines and implements timely solutions for Software/Sustaining ECO's on company products
  8. Works in conjunction with manufacturing supervisor as well as manufacturing assemblers/testers to determine necessary changes to assembly procedures
  9. Works in conjunction with Purchasing Department and Design Engineers to locate and certify suppliers and to establish clearly documented levels of acceptability on incoming components
  10. Performs and implements product and process improvement to reduce waste of materials and utilities, improve efficiency, improve quality and reduce variability.
  11. Documents, implements, and maintains specifications as they relate to the manufacturing of all company products.  This includes defining standards of acceptability and documenting all fixtures used in the manufacture of company products
  12. Performs incoming inspection, verifies acceptability of product, and tracks data

     

Skills, Knowledge, and Experience

  • Bachelor of Science degree in the discipline of the job and 0 years' experience OR 4 years of directly relevant job experience if the candidate has no schooling OR a combination of schooling and experience that is equivalent to a Bachelor of Science graduate with 0 years' experience.
  • Experience with Java, C++ and C# .NET programming languages.
  • Basic computer skills including knowledge of Word, Excel, and Access and job related software.
