Amazon Senior Finance Analyst in London, United Kingdom

Description

Amazon is seeking a Finance Business Partner/Senior Finance Analyst to join the Amazon Payment Products Finance team, based at the Amazon UK headquarters in Shoreditch, London.

This is a unique finance role focusing on partnering with Amazon's European co-branded credit card business team to create and share analysis on strategic, financial and operational plans. The ideal candidate must have high attention to detail, project management skills, the ability to successfully manage multiple competing priorities simultaneously, and have strong communication and leadership skills.

This position is office-based, with the flexibility to work remotely up to two days per week in line with Amazon’s current flexible work guidance. Amazon encourages open communication about unique needs for flexible arrangements.

Key job responsibilities

• Long and short term finance operational planning cycles for EU co-branded credit card products,

• Ownership and maintaining finance controllership of month end close responsibilities, by business partnering with accounting at month end and converting key financial information into a business review process for all stakeholders to understand.

• Own regular and ad-hoc analyses, reviewing business cases and performance versus goals,

• Consult, challenge and influence business decisions by enthusiastically participating in projects to ensure we are taking the right decisions in our business.

• Earning trust by providing analytical guidance to Senior Business Management to support the growing business needs.

• Developing and reporting on weekly/ monthly financial and operational performance metrics.

• Further opportunities for projects.

Basic Qualifications

  • Minimum of Bachelor's degree.

  • Relevant finance qualification or MBA.

  • Experience building financial and operational reports/data sets that inform business decision-making experience.

  • Significant experience in a business partnering role.

  • Robust analytical & modelling skills.

  • Experience working in cross-functional teams.

  • The ability to build positive business relationships and work collaboratively.

  • Strong written and oral communication skills combined with the ability to meet tight deadlines and prioritize workloads.

  • Must demonstrate proficiency with Excel.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience within credit/payment products.

  • Comfortable working independently in a fast-paced environment.

  • The ability to translate large amounts of data into useful information and actionable conclusions.

  • Strong modelling skills, including excellent knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Access, and SQL.
