We are seeking an experienced strategic and analytical Finance Business Partner/Senior Financial Analyst to play a key role on the Amazon Payment Products Finance team, who is not afraid of ambiguity and likes to build mental models, mechanisms, and frameworks.

The right individual indexes high on Invent and Simplify, Dive Deep, Bias for Action and Learn and Be Curious. They foster the willingness to streamline and automate, decreasing redundancy in reporting and insights, while developing new tools to better support their business partners. This is a unique opportunity to participate in building the strategy of installments globally.

The Senior Financial Analyst will be part of the team to lead strategic and financial planning processes for Amazon Monthly Payments (AMP) in 10 geographies, responsible for controllership of monthly P&L and balance sheet reporting, developing and reporting on financial and operational business performance metrics, providing analytical support for Senior Business Management to influence strategic decision making, work cross-functionally with product, marketing and data science teams to manage the AMP program, assess trends, and proactively identify areas of opportunity and risk. This position will be a key risk/controllership gateway for the payments business and requires a candidate with strong communication and leadership skills. A portion of the time will be spent on strategic projects and ad hoc analysis to support the growing business needs.

The finance team works closely with the business teams, so any candidate should be able to work well with cross functional teams. The ideal candidate must have superior attention to detail, project management skills and the ability to successfully manage multiple competing priorities simultaneously. Strong analytical skills are required.

This position is office-based, with the flexibility to work remotely up to two days per week in line with Amazon’s current flexible work guidance. Amazon encourages open communication about unique needs for flexible arrangements.

Basic Qualifications

  • A degree

  • Relevant experience in a finance role leading a project or programme and partnering with multiple stakeholders within a business

  • Relevant experience working with Excel, reporting tools and large-scale data mining tools, such as Power BI, Python, SQL, or Tableau

  • Relevant experience in financial modelling

Preferred Qualifications

  • A bachelor's degree in finance, Mathematics, or Economics

  • Experience troubleshooting problems and offering solutions to streamline complex challenges

  • Experience of working in a large team or fast-paced, corporate environment

  • Experience of making strategic business decisions and manage internal relationships
