About the Team

Joining part of the Business Strategy function, striving to provide actionable insight that shapes decision making throughout the UKI Business Unit, harnessing a range of internal and external data sources. Providing insight to leadership to support strategy development and operational execution, supporting Business Unit strategic objectives.

About the Role

You will have excellent interpersonal skills, with the ability to communicate complex data simply and effectively to a range of audiences, both verbally and in writing. You will have experience of gathering disparate data to enable analysis and conclusions to be drawn. The successful candidate will be passionately curious and enjoys the challenge of digging into the detail, drawing out key insights, with the ability to work just as well independently and as part of a team.

To be successful in this role you will need experience in a market and competitor insight role. You will have experience of detailed analysis of market segments, especially synthesising segment insight from multiple sources and be used to working under pressure, meeting both individual and team deadlines.

You will be responsible for end-to-end delivery of insight, analysis or research led work, while communicating complex and technical subjects in a clear manner and have the ability to influence key decision makers in a professional manner.

Responsibilities

  • Distillation/Synthesis of multiple, often conflicting, information sources to build a picture of the markets that LNRS operates in, and ones that we could enter.

  • Actively cultivate additional market insight & competitive intelligence to aid competitive differentiation & drive growth.

  • Regularly reviewing which competitors are most relevant to LNRS, flagging new entrants to market, and delivering insight summaries to key stakeholders.

  • Carry out qualitative and quantitative analysis of companies and their key products within the UK market.

  • Ensure analytical tasks are carried out on an agreed frequency to stakeholders with support where necessary to ensure understanding and forward actions.

  • Creating, and working with, disparate data sets that can be used to underpin continuous improvement activity across our business.

  • Continually developing knowledge of our customers and their customers’ behaviours as a key underpinning of our product capabilities.

  • Deliver and maintain competitive analysis for all UKI products across all use cases and markets, as part of providing insight to the Sales team to enable them to position our products vs in-market competitors.

  • Provide insight & recommendations for pricing, product, and commercial improvement opportunities.

Requirements

  • Microsoft Excel skills, with an understanding of key features that include advanced formulae, lookups, pivot tables and charts.

  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal

  • Self-motivated and conscientious with an eye for detail

  • Strong numerical and problem-solving skills

  • Good organisational skills

  • Comfortable working both as part of a team and individually
