Google Senior UX Engineer, Android in London, United Kingdom

Minimum qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field, or equivalent practical experience.

  • Experience in UI development.

  • Experience with Java or Kotlin development.

  • Experience with developing applications using the Android SDK.

Preferred qualifications:

  • Experience developing native, clean, and compatible Android applications.

  • Experience as a front-end developer, UX Engineer, creative or design technologist, or in a prototyping design environment.

  • Experience with the Jetpack support libraries, including Jetpack Compose.

  • Experience with Material Design standards and best practices.

  • Experience with motion frameworks, such as Lottie.

As a UX Engineer, you'll work as part of a UX team in a challenging, fast-paced environment. You’ll demonstrate your creativity, analytical skills, and knowledge of user facing technologies to create prototypes that identify the best product experiences, launch innovative features, build tools that accelerate UX teams, bridge between design and engineering discussions, and enable efficient, high quality execution.

  • Fulfill several project requests simultaneously while meeting tight deadlines.

  • Serve as a mentor for early career UX engineers and peers.
