VCA Animal Hospitals Regional Marketing Manager - Southeast Group (SE) and South Atlantic in United States

SUMMARY OF JOB PURPOSE AND FUNCTION:

The Regional Marketing Manager (RMM) is responsible for hospitals’ and region’s marketing activities. Accountable for driving brand engagement in their region, they maximize the execution of national marketing campaigns and objectives while developing marketing strategies to be implemented locally by regions and groups of hospitals. The RMM assists Regional Operations Directors and Hospital Managers with their local marketing efforts and identifies and addresses their specific brand and marketing needs in the development of regional and hospital-level marketing plans.

While the RMM reports to the Senior Field Marketing Manager and is part of the Support Office Marketing Team, this role is an integral part of supporting the Field Team and will be relied upon to provide exemplary service to their internal customers (GVP, ROD and HMs), while supporting the initiatives of the Marketing Department. The RMM works remotely and helps oversee two or more groups which includes 100-200+ hospitals, 8-12 Regional Operations Directors and 2-3 Sr. Operators.

  • Marketing Plans Strategist

Support hospitals and regions in developing their marketing strategies, plans and tactics. Where possible, provide market insights into local conditions, competition, changing landscape, industry trends, etc. See how to integrate national programs into the regional plan for a synergistic approach. Maximize new business and client retention, local programs, and activities, with a laser focus on supporting their assigned territories’ ability to work toward meaningful, achievable, sustainable growth .

  • National Campaign and Program Champions

Lead pro-active relationship-building charge, and champion marketing capabilities as key support leader in the field. Have a 360º view and understanding of marketing activities for hospitals in their region, overseeing local brand and marketing support activities for hospitals and regions in partnership with Brand team and other Marketing department colleagues on National campaigns.

  • Brand Voice

Ensure brand presence for hospitals and regions by identifying and researching storyline possibilities that are aligned with VCA’s positioning and mission and resonate with our clients.

  • Monitor marketing reports and present to hospitals, regions, and other groups. Travel to attend Regional, Hospital Manager, Biweekly and Support office meetings as necessary

  • Ensure two-way channel communication between the region and the support office, supporting each to understand the needs, challenges, and priorities of the other.

  • Consulting and planning local community events. Work with hospital teams to plan and implement their local events as needed

  • Support PR, reputation management and crisis management at the local level in partnership with Corporate Affairs and Marketing colleagues.

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business or Marketing

  • 3 years of experience in multi-unit business marketing and/or multi-unit brand management

  • Experience in veterinary or health-related industries

  • Microsoft Office Suite, particularly PowerPoint and Excel

  • Expert-level PowerPoint skills

*All degrees will be deemed “or equivalent combination of education and experience” unless absolutely required to do the job (i.e., DVM degree for Veterinarian, Law degree for Attorney, etc.).

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

  • Expert story-teller – and story-finder – able to build and find relevance wherever they look.

  • Strong brand leader – able to lead by example and influence without authority.

  • Proven analytic skills. Must be comfortable mining and analyzing data then developing clear and actionable conclusions/recommendations.

  • Proficient in managing complex projects, with multiple stakeholders. Well organized, good at prioritization, attentive to details, clear oral and written communicator.
