Position Description:

Manages a unit within a department. Plans, organizes and develops goals and procedures for the unit. Represent the unit to administrators, outside agencies and others on relevant matters. Supervises subordinate staff.

Major/Essential Functions:

  • Recruitment Oversight: Manage and oversee all recruitment activities including posting positions, sourcing candidates from job fairs and various recruitment outlets, advertising positions and ensuring requisitions remain active and timely. Scheduling interviews,

  • Employee Support Program Development: Design and execute initiatives aimed at supporting employees throughout their tenure, addressing their needs and concerns. Develop and implement comprehensive onboarding and offboarding programs, ensuring smooth transitions for new hires and departing employees.

  • Professional Development Program Administration: Develop and implement programs focused on enhancing employee skills and knowledge to support their professional growth within the organization.

  • Department Orientation: Conduct departmental orientations and continually enhance the process to ensure new hires are effectively integrated into their teams and understand departmental goals and procedures.

  • Department Support: Provide assistance with various personnel management tasks including corrective action, ePAFs or Payroll. Sit on department committees as requested.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Proficient in speaking and reading in Spanish.

  • Proficient in public speaking.

  • Knowledge of sourcing techniques, candidate assessment methods, and employment branding to attract and retain top talent.

  • Familiarity with designing and implementing employee training.

  • Ability to identify issues and develop innovative solutions to improve processes.

  • Skills in planning, organizing, and executing multiple initiatives simultaneously.
