JOB DESCRIPTION AND POSITION REQUIREMENTS:

Penn State Greater Allegheny seeks an Executive Director for its Education Resource Center (ERC). The ERC functions as the statewide technical support program for the Pennsylvania Department of Education’s (PDE) Bureau of Career and Technical Education. The Executive Director provides overall management and direction for multiple grants that engage and support more than 80 career and technical education centers (CTC) across the Commonwealth.

Job Responsibilities Include:

Provide leadership and strategic direction for technical assistance grants, ensuring that all grant objectives are met by established deadlines and within budget.

Supervise project staff and their activities to ensure all project goals are met.

Collaborate with and engage CTC personnel, test site coordinators and external subject matter experts to ensure that statewide secondary student occupational skills testing is administered annually.

Manage, design, and oversee the coordination of in-person and virtual statewide conferences, workshops, communities of practice, webinars, and meetings including pre- and post-arrangements and activities as determined by PDE staff.

Monitor information dissemination to PDE and CTC school personnel, using effective communication strategies and appropriate technology.

Display comprehensive knowledge of PDE’s vision and direction for career and technical education.

Collaborate with PDE staff, state agencies, industry partners, and community members to ensure Career and Technical programs and standards are modernized ensuring program participants have the skills and experiences to engage in the Pennsylvania economy.

Design program data collection and analysis strategies to ensure data driven decision making, inform PDE policy and PDE program making.

Gain new knowledge to identify emerging topics, issues, and initiatives related to career and technical education, and advancing opportunities for students and programs across the Commonwealth.

Ensure compliance with all relevant grant, state, and University policies.

Education and Experience:

  • Master’s degree required

  • 8+ years of relevant experience, including 3+ years of supervisory experience

  • Qualified candidates will have grant and budget management experience, strong written and oral communication skills, and a demonstrated record of successfully identifying and engaging strategic partners and building collaborative teams.

  • A valid driver's license is required

  • Salary Range: $85,200 - $100,000

The salary range for this position, including all possible grades is:

$68,200.00 - $102,300.00
