Overview

Join our dynamic team as a Lead Web Developer for a small team and play a pivotal role in crafting exceptional digital experiences for our clients using SproutLoud's Drupal-based technology.

What You'll Do:

  • Lead the development process: Guide the creation of microsites and landing pages, ensuring they meet client needs and exceed expectations.

  • Embrace a full-stack approach: Collaborate with designers and stakeholders to translate design concepts into functional, responsive websites. Write clean, well-documented code using HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and PHP.

  • Champion user experience: Advocate for user-centered design principles, ensuring websites are intuitive, accessible, and function seamlessly across all devices.

  • Maintain and optimize: Keep existing microsites running smoothly, implementing updates and enhancements as required by clients.

  • Teamwork makes the dream work: Foster a collaborative environment, mentor team members, and share your expertise.

  • Stay ahead of the curve: Continuously learn and adapt, recommending improvements to system configurations and business processes.

    We're looking for someone who:

  • Possesses a Bachelor's degree in User-Centered Design, Web Technologies, or a related field (or equivalent experience).

  • Boasts 3+ years of solid front-end development experience with HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.

  • Has a knack for crafting responsive websites that look amazing and perform flawlessly on any device.

  • Can translate complex design mockups and wireframes into functional, user-friendly web pages.

  • Communicates effectively with clients, designers, and developers, both verbally and in writing.

  • Maintains a meticulous eye for detail and is highly organized.

  • Enjoys working independently and collaboratively within a fast-paced team.

  • Understands the software development lifecycle.

    Bonus points if you have:

  • Experience leading a team.

  • Experience with TailwindCSS.

  • A keen understanding of design principles and a background in graphic design tools like Photoshop and Illustrator.

  • Familiarity with debugging tools like Firebug and Chrome DevTools.

  • Familiarity with Agile Development methodologies

    Interview process

    Our five steps recruiting process lasts a total of 2 weeks:

    Step 1: Meet and greet with a recruiter or hiring manager; followed by some brief assessments

    Step 2: Top-Grading, 2-hour interview with 2 Hiring Managers

    Step 3: In-person meetings (one day in total) with your peers, direct reports and/or team leads

    Step 4: (Position Dependent) An activity or exercise to understand how you think

    Step 5: Reference checks
