The Data Analyst - Financial Technologist is responsible for developing and configuring advanced reporting solutions to support global Finance’s priority to create a competitive advantage through data, analysis, and fact-based decisions. This role will utilize the newest technological advancements in reporting, analysis, and automation. The incumbent must embrace a culture of deliberate improvement as part of the daily routine and leverage IP’s global operating model to optimize the delivery of services to the enterprise.
This position is part of the Reporting Solutions team, which is part of the GFIM Reporting & Analytics COE organization and reports to the Manager of Reporting Solutions.
The Job You Will Perform:
Assist with end users within FGO on future reporting and analytical solutions, including both ad hoc and longer-term projects
Help with the development, document, test, and deploy new reporting and analytical tools
Work with GFIM partners and IT on enhancements and projects as needed
Support new reporting and analytical solutions that are developed with an emphasis on sustainability
Assist in deploying continuous improvement processes for ongoing efficiency and effectiveness
Work on adapting current reporting solutions for any changes to the source data landscape or structure
Develop into a point of contact (SME) for data knowledge, data integration across critical customers, and facilitation of knowledge transfer
The Skills You Will Bring:
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, Business/Data Analytics, or Business Information Systems
Minimum 3 years of relevant experience in finance and management reporting
Excellent communication skills (verbal and written)
Strong knowledge of Excel is required
Experience with Analysis for Office/BPC/Power BI/Alteryx is highly preferred
Strong degree of proficiency with Word and PowerPoint
Working knowledge of SAP/ECC
Proven ability to perform with a high degree of accuracy and confidential data.
Aptitude for designing and implementing financial reporting and analytical solutions
Ability to interpret customer requests into requirements for internal development or IT-enabled solutions
Demonstrated ability to build and maintain relationships, collaborate with others, engage in constructive conflict, and manage interpersonal dynamics
Willingness to champion continuous learning, deliberate improvement, opportunities, and knowledge build attitude for sustainable results
