Eaton Corporation Quality Manager in MEXICO CITY, Mexico

Eaton’s IS AER FED division is currently seeking a Quality Manager.

What you’ll do:

Job Summary

The Quality Manager plays a crucial role in defining, executing, and implementing the Strategic Quality Plan, Goals, and Objectives at the operational level. They work closely with plant quality teams and represent group management for the Quality management system. Their primary responsibility is to ensure the integrity of products in accordance with industry standards, government regulations, and customer requirements. They provide guidance on quality to customers, suppliers, partners, and internal stakeholders. In addition, they continuously identify areas for improvement and act as a liaison between Eaton plants to facilitate communication and strategic implementation of quality initiatives.

Job Responsibilities

A. Direct the rollout and implementation of new updates of internal and external standards to each plant.

B. Ensure that policies and procedures regarding all aspects of quality assurance and improvement are rigidly adhered to during all manufacturing processes across sites.

C. Develop and implement plans to achieve operation and group quality goals.

D. Ensure compliance to customer quality requirements and act as the primary contact for customers on quality issues.

E. Engage in regular communication and reporting to Aerospace Group Leadership

F. Continually improve the maturity of the Eaton Quality Management System (EQMS) through regular Self-Assessments

G. Develop strategies to implement the Quality Leading Indicator (QLI) Strategy and the Eaton Zero Defect Process (E-Zdp) for sites

H. Continually improve the capability of the Quality organization through ongoing talent development activities"

Qualifications:

Education level required

  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution

Years and area of experience required

  • Minimum five (5) years of experience in Quality or ten (10) years of experience in Manufacturing role within a production environment.

  • Minimum three (3) years managing people as direct reports "

  • Fully bilingual

Skills:

Technical knowledge

  • Demonstrated knowledge in a regulated Quality Management Systems such as ISO-9001, TS-16949, AS-9100 etc.

  • Demonstrated ability to drive results in the area of Quality, continuous improvement, etc.

  • Demonstrated knowledge of quality assurance and continuous improvement methods, approaches and tools, including strategic management and project management.

  • In-depth experience with the practical application of Quality tools, Six Sigma, and Lean Manufacturing methodologies.

  • Certified Quality Engineer (CQE), Certified Manager of Quality / Organizational Excellence (CQM / OE)"

• Capable to explain technical details in non-technical terms to regional Senior Leadership team
