Learn more about benefits at Meta at this link: https://www.metacareers.com/facebook-life/benefits.Duties:Utilize advanced knowledge of statistics, data mining, business intelligence, Hadoop/Hive, SQL, Excel, and MicroStrategy to drive efficient analytics and reporting. Analyze data and statistical results to identify actionable insights, suggest recommendations and influence the direction of Meta's product decisions and product launches by effectively communicating results to cross functional groups, including Online Ops, Product, and Engineering teams. Leverage data to provide insights about user behavior and to inform business decisions. These business recommendations will be based on data mining on large, complex data sets and applying concepts in number theory, computational theory, data structures and algorithms. Predict and understand user patterns through analytical and statistical metric analysis. Apply quantitative skills in predictive modeling, statistical analysis, A/B tests, regression models, and machine learning to gather data insights. Partner with Product and Engineering teams to solve data problems and identify trends and opportunities. Build and analyze dashboards, reports and key data sets to empower operations and exploratory analysis. They will automate analyses and author data pipelines via ETL framework. Develop strong business partnerships with the Online Ops, Product, and Engineering teams by translating strategic questions into structured analyses, defining success metrics, and developing reporting channels. Build key statistical data sets to empower operational and exploratory analysis, and automate analyses. Track current incoming volumes and trends in order to create forecasting models for operational insights. Assist in designing hypothesis testing experiments, analyze data collected and present results. Conduct ad hoc data analysis based on current team needs. Complete root cause analysis of different workflows in order to quantify problems, operationalize goals and identify priorities. Additionally, train team members on the use of reporting tools and lead data-driven business case solving courses.Requirements:Requires a Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, Mathematics, Statistics, Data Analytics, Applied Sciences, or a related field and two years of work experience in the job offered or in a computer-related occupation. Experience requires two years of experience in the following:1. Working with large data sets and network-based data (TCP or HTTP);2. ETL (Extract, Transform, Load) processes;3. Relational database (SQL or PL*SQL);4. Developing in Python;5. Statistical analysis using R;6. Large scale data processing infrastructures using distributed systems (Hadoop, Hive, MapReduce, or MPI);7. Quantitative analysis techniques: clustering, regression, pattern recognition, and descriptive and inferential statistics.
