We are seeking a highly motivated, seasoned Group Product Marketing Manager to join our consumer marketing team, and help deliver on this mission for the 1 billion professionals on our platform.

As the Product Marketing team lead for Consumer Engagement & Retention, you will be responsible for supervising a team of individual contributors. You will play a critical role in driving the success of our consumer products and developing compelling product narratives both in and out of the app. This role is instrumental in driving engagement within the LinkedIn consumer experience, delivering relevant and timely content to users, and re-engaging and creating value for less active users. You will collaborate with the leaders of other cross-functional teams, incl. product management, design, engineering, comms, market research and others to develop and execute strategies that help re-engage our user base.

You will…

  • Directly manage, coach and mentor a team of three product marketing managers. You will set the prioritization framework, KPIs, and culture for your team.

  • Partner closely with the leaders of cross-functional teams, including product management, user experience design, user research, engineering, brand marketing & communications, to ensure valuable, impactful product development.

  • Drive a consumer research agenda and competitive analysis to inform the value proposition and development of new products and features.

  • Oversee the development and execution of effective go-to-market plans for new consumer product launches, including positioning, messaging, and channel strategies.

  • Own the build and optimization of an experimentation roadmap across key consumer channels and products, to drive growth and engagement through new and existing surfaces.

  • Define new processes, workflows and operating models for the Product Marketing team, to ensure we can effectively launch and market products at scale.

Basic Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in marketing, business, technology, or a related field or equivalent experience.

  • 7+ years of product marketing experience or equivalent role.

  • 5+ years of experience marketing consumer-facing digital products and content experiences.

Preferred Qualifications

  • 3+ years of people management experience. You have a passion for mentoring, coaching and leading teams in an empathetic, yet inspiring and results-oriented manner. Giving direct, constructive feedback does not make you uncomfortable.

  • A consistent, demonstrated track record of building and implementing marketing programs and product launches that drive material business impact.

  • Experience leading, influencing and collaborating optimally at all levels of the organization. You can communicate your vision to all types of stakeholders, especially in large, matrixed organizations.

  • Stellar verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to concisely distill complex technical information into digestible, compelling narratives to effectively present ideas. You have a gift for storytelling – and can command any room.

  • Exceptional interpersonal skills, with the ability to navigate many types of personalities and establish cross-functional partnerships across the organization. You have both emotional and social intelligence, making connecting with others a breeze. Building and nurturing relationships feels like second nature to you.

  • Strong sense of ownership and accountability. You have a “get it done” attitude and bias for action that can be scaled to your entire team.

  • Data-driven mindset and ability to leverage insights to drive decisions, prioritize objectives and optimize strategies for messaging, positioning and audience targeting. You dig deep into the data, and know how to analyze and interpret it on your own.

  • High comfort level operating in a dynamic, rapidly changing environment. The unknown thrills you. You like to push boundaries and steer through new, uncharted territory.

LinkedIn is committed to fair and equitable compensation practices.

The pay range for this role is $138,000 - $215,000. Actual compensation packages are based on several factors that are unique to each candidate, including but not limited to skill set, depth of experience, certifications, and specific work location. This may be different in other locations due to differences in the cost of labor.
