American Express Global Commercial Services (GCS) has a stated ambition to become the leading payments and working capital provider for Small and Medium Enterprise (SME) businesses helping them say yes to more opportunities and thrive. This includes ensuring each customer has access to business-sized purchase capacity, flexible payment options, meaningful rewards, and the powerful backing of American Express.

The Card Lending Team supports this objective by developing compelling products, services, and customer engagement strategies to meet small business owners’ evolving buying and payment needs. As a result of career advancement, we are hiring a Senior Manager, Product Management – Pay Over Time to help drive the continued convergence of our spend and lend card features and introduce new organic growth opportunities to capture more share of our customers’ spending and borrowing needs. The Senior Manager will keep a customer-fist mindset by managing acquisition, early tenure, outbound phone sales and inbound servicing initiatives. Key internal partners include: Prospect and Customer Marketing, Risk Management, Charge Product, Pricing, Legal, Compliance, Sales, Servicing, Finance and Technology.

Key Responsibilities Include:

  • Building, refining, and managing scalable acquisition, early tenure, and dialogic (phone) engagement strategies

  • Using portfolio analytics and customer insights to improve Sales & Servicing strategies aimed at responsibly deepening feature awareness, adoption and engagement

  • Identifying, evaluating and launching product-specific and portfolio-wide enhancements

  • Developing external listening posts to build proximity with customers and monitor competition

  • Deepening relationships and collaboration with key internal partner teams

  • Ensuring a strong control and compliance environment

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Strong customer-first mentality and experience putting customer insights into action

  • Strategic, creative thinker with strong analytical skills and ability to use insights to drive winning strategies

  • Excellent project management skills while balancing multiple business partners and workstreams in parallel

  • Thoughtful, concise communicator and proven ability to communicate effectively to audiences at various levels

  • Track record of influencing cross-functionally toward shared outcomes and operating in a fast-paced environment

  • Good judgment and interpretation of compliance landscape

  • Bachelor's degree

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Prior experience working in service of Small Business Owners as a segment

  • Prior experience with lending economics

Qualifications

Salary Range: $90,000.00 to $165,000.00 annually bonus benefits
