Bloomberg Intelligence (“BI”) is seeking a Strategy Associate to support the US Credit Strategy team. As a BI Credit Strategy Associate, the right candidate will be interested in credit markets, directly support the Chief Credit Strategist with generating and supporting insights with a mix of fundamental and quantitative approaches and help with frequent publication of research.

You will have a steep learning curve with great exposure to the market experts in Bloomberg Intelligence, and you will have learning interactions with the financial markets. Sitting alongside the strategist team, you will be very close to the market, and develop a solid skillset on analysis. The analysis in your daily work will be based on the Bloomberg Indices and data sets, which will provide you a resourceful platform to apply your expertise of Excel, Python, and other data analysis skills, which will used to publish credit strategy research and host the data on the BI Credit Strategy dashboard within the Bloomberg Terminal.

WE'LL TRUST YOU TO:

  • Actively contribute to daily research activities of data analysis, written research, idea generation and client engagement

  • Interact regularly with clients via our online messaging systems, telephone and client visits

  • Conceptualize, construct and maintain research dashboards

  • Help to identify, support and maintain critical data and functionality on the Bloomberg terminal

  • Develop and maintain relationships with internal and external constituencies

  • Review submitted research for adherence to global quality standards

  • Participate in department-wide special projects

YOU NEED TO HAVE:

  • Graduated with a Bachelor's degree, preferably with a concentration in a quantitative field

  • 2+ years of financial market research experience

  • Strong interest in learning about corporate credit

  • Proven excellence in managing and modeling large data sets, with high interest in progressive learning of new quantitative systems

  • Proficient Excel skills with attention to detail and high standards in data quality

  • Advanced modeling skills, including a solid understanding of Python and/or Bloomberg BQuant, VBA and related technologies.

  • Excellent written communication and presentation skills, track record of collaboration with team

  • Demonstrable research and analytical skills

  • Strong organization skills and capable of handling multiple projects

  • An ability to meet deadlines, logically tackle problems and set priorities

WE'D LOVE TO SEE:

  • A Master's degree in Business, Finance, Accounting, Data Science, or related discipline preferred

  • Data visualization Skills (PowerBI, Tableau, QSEN)

  • CFA designation, or pursuit thereof

  • Previous work experience with the Bloomberg Terminal

Salary Range: 90,000 - 120,000 USD Annually + Benefits + Bonus

The referenced salary range is based on the Company's good faith belief at the time of posting. Actual compensation may vary based on factors such as geographic location, work experience, market conditions, education/training and skill level.
