Description and Requirements

We are looking for a passionate and enthusiastic Sr. Key Account Manager for our Federal Government Accounts in Germany to be based in Frankfurt.

The Key Account Manager will work collaboratively with the Inside Account Manager to manage all public presales activities for a given set of Public Sector accounts. This position proactively works with internal stakeholders to provide support of sales opportunities and ensures the appropriate portfolio of Lenovo products, services and software is architected to solve our client’s most complex business problems.

Key Roles & Responsibilities:

  • Full responsibility for a defined public customer set, making proposals, pricing and finally customer care

  • Development of existing customer relationships as well as winning new customers in particular through tender business

  • Strong business acumen and ability to link customer needs and business issues to solutions. Set and manage expectations around solutions, internally and externally

  • Collaborate with customers, sales team and extended Lenovo team. Define problems, diagnose causes, identify solutions and create action plans

  • Collaborate with technical staff and product specialists where required to address customer requirements

  • Work at all levels within an organization to deliver a quarterly target. Report on sales activity and update in Dynamics 365

  • Conduct all sales activities with the highest degree of professionalism and integrity

  • A high level capacity for teamwork to manage the close collaboration with internal Lenovo functions as well as with Business Partners

Position Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience aiding in sales

  • Key Account Management experience focusing on public sector - banking customers, preferred

  • Broad existing business network (partner / end customer) in the IT domain which will be relevant for efficient ramp up

  • Can differentiate offerings and articulate the Lenovo value proposition against the competition, to ensure the best potential to win in sales opportunities

  • Entrepreneurial personality, customer focused, and able to deliver exceptional solutions well beyond customer expectations

  • Able to align people and influence decision making, effectively working in a matrix. Collaborative working style and high commitment to get the job done
