Intermountain Health Clinical Procedure Card Services Analyst in American Fork, Utah

Job Description:

Scope

As a PC Services Analyst you need to know how to:

  • Support the timely coordination of card updates as approved by service line leadership.

  • Utilize real-time quality assurance tool for easy revision/tracking of cards, providing high transparency and responsiveness to physicians and clinicians- Develops and tracks open PC related Heat Tickets through completion.

  • Garner PC Services support for Heat Tickets to achieve timely completion.

  • Serve as a liaison for PC process and maintenance requiring STSC OpTime support- Leads site training for procedure card business processes.

  • Monitor annual Health Stream learning modules for site associates performing PC maintenance work- Participate in the annual review of the ELPDs Procedure Card Maintenance and Standardization development for Health Stream- Frequently monitors and analyzes data utilizing SCLs Procedure Card Services Content Universe (via Tableau, BOE, Epic OpTime Workbench) to measure PC clinical data integrity, standardization opportunities, labor productivity, and working capital impacts- Follows the standard for periodic reviews of cards by service line and their content.

  • Participate in annual physician examination of top cards comparing peer standardization opportunities.

  • Ensure patient safety is a priority- Utilizing lean methodologies identifies inefficient procedure card management processes to improve perioperative efficiency; decreasing waste and returns, enhancing identification of cost per procedure, improve charge capture and free up clinician time spent on patient care- Facilitates quarterly reviews with service line leadership and PC Services management to track progress and provide updates on internal processes- Drives PC improvement by utilizing annual customer satisfaction surveys, Gembas, and other voice of the customer methods; driving improved flow and efficiency- Engages physicians in content improvement activities.

  • Reduce procedure card volume by streamlining case categories/variations where possible- Periodically scrubs into operating room to observe how card is impacting flow of procedures and working with clinicians to identify where opportunities for improvement are possible.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Associate's degree in nursing, science fields, or other related field, required

  • 3 - 5 years of acute operating room experience as a certified surgical technician or registered nurse across multiple service lines, required

  • 3 -5 years experience with physician procedure cards; operating room related billing, card maintenance, scheduling, and/or auditing, required

  • Graduate of a surgical technology program or equivalent experience/training, required

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Nursing or related field, preferred

Physical Requirements:

Interact with others by effectively communicating, both orally and in writing.- and -Operate computers and other office equipment requiring the ability to move fingers and hands.- and -See and read computer monitors and documents.- and -Remain sitting or standing for long periods of time to perform work on a computer, telephone, or other equipment.- and -May require lifting and transporting objects and office supplies, bending, kneeling and reaching.

The hourly range for this position is listed below. Actual hourly rate dependent upon experience.

$30.71 - $46.78
