Robert Half Accounting Manager in Orlando, Florida

Description

We are offering a contract to hire employment opportunity for an Accounting Manager in Orlando, Florida. This role primarily revolves around supervising financial reporting and accounting functions in a governmental sector. The workplace is an on-site operation and the industry is Accounting and Auditing services.

Responsibilities:

• Oversee financial reporting and accounting supervisor duties within the organization.

• Implement and manage fixed asset accounting and CAPEX processes.

• Develop and implement internal controls to detect and correct misstatements in a timely manner and safeguard the assets of the organization.

• Utilize various accounting software systems to manage accounting functions.

• Conduct audits to ensure accuracy and compliance with government accounting standards.

• Leverage Microsoft Applications including Word, Excel, or similar spreadsheet software to manage and organize data.

• Communicate effectively with various departments and stakeholders to resolve financial discrepancies and issues.

• Develop and oversee the full cycle of accounting processes.

• Manage and resolve customer credit inquiries, maintain accurate customer credit records, and process customer credit applications efficiently.

Requirements • Must have a minimum of 7 years of experience in the accounting field.

• Proficiency in Accounting Software Systems is required.

• Strong understanding and experience in Accounting Functions.

• Prior experience in Auditing is desirable.

• Knowledge and experience in managing Fixed Assets.

• Proficiency in Full Cycle Accounting is expected.

• Experience in Governmental accounting is a plus.

• Excellent communication and leadership skills.

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field is required.

• CPA or relevant certification is preferred.

• Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.

• Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.

• Excellent problem-solving abilities.

• Strong ethical standards and high levels of integrity.

• Ability to strategize and solve problems.

• Strong organizational and communication skills.

• Understanding of data analysis and forecasting.

• Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-stress environment.
