Responsibilities

The Division of Epilepsy Advanced Practice Provider works collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team that provides comprehensive care for adults with seizure disorders. The APPs participate in advanced specialized epilepsy care including ongoing evaluation and management of medication, neuromodulation device programming, epilepsy surgical evaluations, and addressing quality of life and comorbidity in both the inpatient and outpatient environment, with an emphasis on outpatient clinic.

Qualifications

Nurse Practitioner: Masters-prepared graduate of an accredited school of nursing and Nurse Practitioner program. Current State AZ RN and APRN license and certification as a FNP, ANP, ACNP.

Physician Assistant: Graduate of accredited Physician Assistant program with current PA certification by NCCPA and registration as a PA by the State AZ State Board of Medical Practice.

Additional Qualifications:

• BLS certification from American Heart Association or American Red Cross and DEA registration required

• Excellent verbal, written and oral communication skills.

• Demonstrated leadership ability.

• Flexibility to adjust schedule to meet patient and staff needs.

• Ability to manage time and stress effectively and adapt to unpredictable situations within the patient care setting.

• Strong computer skills in an Electronic Medical Record preferred.
