Kaiser Permanente Treasury Analyst III, Pensions & Investments in Pleasanton, California

Job Summary:

In addition to the responsibilities listed below, this position will work on treasury projects requiring knowledge of investment management principles, methods, and techniques, including proficiency in portfolio management, asset allocation, investment policy, performance measurement, and liability management. This also includes engaging in financial analysis, modeling, and reporting efforts to support these projects as appropriate.

Essential Responsibilities:

  • Completes work assignments by applying up-to-date expertise in subject area to generate creative solutions; ensuring all procedures and policies are followed; leveraging an understanding of data, and resources to support projects or initiatives; collaborating cross-functionally to solve business problems; identifying and monitoring priorities, deadlines, and expectations; communicating progress and information; identifying, recommending, and implementing ways to address improvement opportunities; and escalating issues or risks as appropriate.

  • Conducts company financial activities by providing support to finance and operations; assisting with reconciliation efforts; applying established controls to financial transactions; and fully documenting financial processes.

  • Assists with treasury reporting efforts by researching and analyzing economic data, market conditions, and financial commitments; and reporting to senior team members on key financial drivers, liabilities, and performance indicators (e.g., funding issues, returns on investment, cash-related risks, etc.).

  • Performs financial analyses and interprets results to identify risks and opportunities by applying pro forma assumptions; and using financial models consistent with regulatory, statutory, and legal guidelines and requirements.

  • Consults on projects by coordinating stakeholder contacts; assisting in the development, analysis, and coordination of project plans for treasury specific deliverables; and coordinating project schedules and resource forecasts.

  • Complies with regulatory, statutory, and legal controls by following policies and procedures to achieve compliance and control objectives (e.g., audit controls, financial commitments, etc.).

  • Assists in the administration of vendor contracts and transactions (e.g., lease agreements, investment portfolios, etc.) by working with financial/business partners; evaluating key performance indicators; and comparing vendor performance against established service level agreements.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Minimum two (2) years experience working with financial modeling, analysis, and reporting.

  • Bachelors degree in finance or related field and Minimum three (3) years experience in finance or a directly related field. Additional equivalent work experience in a directly related field may be substituted for the degree requirement.
