These are guest services staff positions needed on a part-time regular and seasonal basis at the Provo Peaks Ice Arena. Individuals interested in performing the duties described herein are encouraged to apply.

Job Details:

Pay Rate: $10.00 - $13.00 per hour (depending upon skill level and experience) Payment will be by direct deposit.

Essential Duties: The individuals hired for these positions will be required to perform general duties in the following areas: admissions, concessions, and skate rental at the Peaks Ice Arena. Additionally, employees will assist other teams members as needed and perform other related duties as required.

Minimum Requirements: Any training and/or experience which would demonstrate an ability to perform the duties of the position.

License: Valid, lawful driver's license may be required at time of appointment. Applicant may be disqualified from driving for the City on the basis of an unacceptable driving record as reflected by the State Department of Motor Vehicles.

Hours: Up to 25 hours per week, between 6 a.m. and 1 a.m., Monday through Saturday (The majority of shifts are scheduled from 6 p.m. to 10 p.m., Monday through Thursday, 6 p.m. to 1 a.m. Fridays, and 9 a.m. to 10 p.m. Saturdays.) Actual schedule will be set by the supervisor based on department need. Employee will also be expected to fill in for other staff as needed.

Physical/Environmental Factors: This work requires walking, sitting, bending, reaching, lifting up to 30 pounds, and sitting for extended periods at a computer terminal.

Pre-employment Testing: Prior to appointment, applicants will be required to successfully pass a drug screen and criminal background investigation. Non-disclosure may result in dismissal. Individuals with unsatisfactory drug screen results will be ineligible for appointment or application to any Provo City position for a minimum period of 6 months.
