If so, Bing Platform team seeking a Principal Product Manager to lead the future of one of the largest distributed computing and Artificial Intelligence (AI) at Microsoft.

As a Principal Product Manager of the Microsoft AI Bing Web Data Platform team, you will be responsible for driving innovation and building the platform which delivers content for quality search result and web recommendation to 100s of millions of users around the world. With the latest advancements in generative AI, data and interactions with large language models are at the center of everything we do. Copilots are reimagining search experiences for our users, content creators and publishers. Deep knowledge about search engine optimization (SEO), webmasters and publisher business personas, good understanding of content management systems will be great experience to bring to this role. We are driving up the scale of the platform for crawling, indexing, content understanding and getting it ready for new Copilot and search experiences for 100s of millions of users and devices.

Responsibilities

• Play a key role in defining the vision, strategy, and roadmap for the Web Data Platform for Bing search and recommendations.

• Work with engineering leaders and teams to plan, execute, and deliver on ambitious and innovative initiatives that enhance the quality, comprehensiveness, and freshness of web data in the search and recommendation index.

• Partner with product managers, researchers, and marketers to understand the needs and preferences of users and webmasters, and drive initiatives that improve the search user experience and SEO.

• Represent Microsoft in the search industry and community, and foster relationships and collaborations with external stakeholders, such as webmasters, publishers, developers, and standards bodies.

Qualifications

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree AND 10+ years experience in product/service/project/program management or software development

  • OR equivalent experience.

  • 10+ years of experience in product and/or engineering leadership, preferably in search engine, web data, and/or online media domain.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Understanding of the technical and business aspects of web crawling, processing, indexing, ranking, and the ability to translate complex concepts into clear and actionable plans and goals.

  • Ability to conduct and leverage user research, data analysis, and market insights to inform product decisions and priorities.

  • Experience leading and delivering cross-functional initiatives that meet or exceeds quality and business objectives.

  • Ability to manage multiple initiatives and stakeholders simultaneously.

  • Ability to communicate profieciently with diverse audiences and levels, both internally and externally.

Product Management IC6 - The typical base pay range for this role across the U.S. is USD $158,500 - $276,600 per year. There is a different range applicable to specific work locations, within the San Francisco Bay area and New York City metropolitan area, and the base pay range for this role in those locations is USD $202,800 - $304,200 per year.
