Meta Technical Program Manager – Eye Tracking Research in Redmond, Washington

Summary:

We are looking for a skilled and motivated Technical Program Manager (TPM) to join our team, whose mission is creating the future of Eye Tracking Systems for Augmented Reality (AR), Virtual reality (VR), and Smart Glasses. We are specifically looking for a candidate with experience working on early stage development of hardware plus software solutions. More broadly, the chosen candidate will work with a diverse and highly interdisciplinary team of researchers and engineers and will have access to cutting-edge technology, resources, and testing facilities.We look for technical program managers who have a strong technical foundation and are natural motivators, cross-functional relationship builders, and champions for driving the right level of process to ensure smooth and predictable program execution in a fast-paced innovative environment.

Required Skills:

Technical Program Manager – Eye Tracking Research Responsibilities:

  1. Manage the design, development, and delivery of prototype systems that include deliverables focused on electrical engineering, software development, and mechanical design.

  2. Work with a cross-functional team of researchers, hardware and software engineers, human perception scientists, and TPMs to set clear deliverables and milestones to deliver next generation sensors.

  3. Build and maintain strong working relationships across the research team, suppliers and vendors, and cross-functional leadership.

  4. Effectively communicate program goals and status to key cross-functional stakeholders and leadership.

  5. Work cross-functionally to develop best practices and technology development processes in a quickly-changing and dynamic environment to ensure successful delivery.

  6. Ability to travel 25%

Minimum Qualifications:

  1. Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Biomedical Engineering, or equivalent combination of education and experience.

  2. 5+ years of program management experience.

  3. 5+ years experience in the design and development of consumer, industrial, or research electronics.

  4. Experience working with a cross-disciplinary team of researchers, software engineers, hardware engineers.

  5. Project management, leadership, dependency management, and cross-group collaboration experience across more than one geographic location.

  6. Interest for being a great communicator. Versatility in corresponding, presenting, and facilitating to all levels of the organization technical and non-technical content.

  7. Early prototyping experience on new technologies

  1. Strong understanding of systems design.

  2. Strong understanding for prototyping and validation with FPGAs and Emulators.

  3. Experience developing prototypes and conducting user studies to validate results.

  4. Experience tech transferring from a research team to product or build v1 products.

Public Compensation:

$134,000/year to $196,000/year + bonus + equity + benefits
